"Ah! The Golden King. The most powerful man in all the world. His great crusade spans time and space- he saved me at my lowest, when I used this weapon to kill those I loved." He slowly let the grip on his trident relax, comforted by the ten remove of the great leader. "He could summon a storm of blades, and deadly in power and in wit." The helmet looked at the woman, keeping its cold black circles trained on her eyes. "What I want- is to win, Become so strong that I will never have to fight again."

 • “Oh I can make you stronger... I can do anything you want.... but I’d like to meet your Golden King first.” She said, leaning into him and whispering in his ear. If nothing else, she was persistent. Something about her spoke of experience. She wasn’t merely a goddess to look at, she wanted to be sure that she was worshipped like one too. The woman knew very well the power she had over men, and she used it.

 • Brutus did not move the woman, but a hiss echoed out of the helmet before he spoke. "The Golden King sees who he wishes to see. I can make a request, but he has all the things he could want, I see no reason he should talk to someone like you." He stepped back, his hand gripping the trident once more. To the woman, it might seem a normal weapon, used by the old ways of fighting, but to him, it was something different. It represented the one he loved, certainly not this... Assaulter. He took a step back, and slammed the butt of the trident into the ground, the echo sweeping through the courtyard. "Have you no shame, lass?"

 • She grinned like the Cheshire Cat. “No shame in a little conversation... unless I’m embarrassing you...” She continued to pace gracefully around him, though it may have felt as if she was a python, circling and preparing to constrict its prey, or a spider climbing around its trapped and flailing prey.

 • "Of course you are, I can feel your intent from here." He practically spat the words at his opponent, his left arm twitching back towards the net at his waist. Everything about this predator pit him on edge, and she probably knew it, too. "Why don't you run on down to a man more easily persuaded to help with your wicked deed, witch? Make me strong or not, I'd rather not trade my life for it."

 • “Sweetheart I don’t want your life... no...” She smiled, before breaking out into a rather cute laugh. “Dead men don’t make anything better.... but a woman might make your night a little bit more fun...” She maintained the smile. “I just want a little information, and then you can have me, all to yourself...”

 • "My night is already filled with activities. You can have information with a little chatting, no need to protrude your predatory nature. If a little talk is all you needed, I'd be more than happy to tell you anything you want- within limits." He added the last part as an after thought, to get the point across that he would not simply spill information on her lap.

 • “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” She said with a smile, gently tapping where his nose would be beneath the mask. “I wanna know about the Golden King... where he is... how to talk to him...” She remarked. “But first, I wanna know more about you.” She drew in close to him again, running a hand down his back, another down his arm.

 • Brutus pushed her away with the buckler on his left arm, a gentle nudge, but enough to get her off him. "The Golden King will see you when he wants to. Where he is- is classified, a word for secret. As for me- I am Brutus, Champion of the arena, slayer of a hundred men." He seemed to say it with a vigor, but his chest was not puffed, nor did he shout it out. He explained it as a fact rather than a title. "And you, the eavesdropping fly on the wall? What is your name?"

 • “That’s no way to treat a lady... perhaps you should discuss that with him.” She said with a giggle. She paid no heed to his insult to her in regards to the word classified. She’d played pretty dumb girl for long enough to be able to let it slide. “Well since you asked so nicely, you can call me Anna...” The thoughts crossing her mind would never have been hinted at, for she kept up her convincing dumb pretty girl act. 100 men? That was all? Not something to be particularly proud of in a place she’d known that Alex Wilson had come from. She figured that plenty of the Dojo’s inhabitants had killed that many people, but she said nothing.

 •
Lmao- he said that because he had no idea what classified meant, learned it from The army, and assumed no one else knew what it meant. He was trying to act smart.
"Anna! I can see you are a woman of ambition- a deadly persona radiates from you violently! However, I can see that your danger is honed and sharpened like a blade. A man less than me might have fallen and kissed your feet by now! But make no mistake. I will not suffer at your snake like will." Brutus actually took a step towards Anna, and aimed the black holes in his helm to meet her eyes, before speaking again. "You are beautiful, no doubt. But your seeping venom puts you aside from others. Your acts are not human- and will only be human if you were drunk or in a place of sin." The gladiator gestured around him pulling back away from Anna, and swinging his buckler around the courtyard. "Why don't you drop the act, and tell me what you truly want?"

 • “You just don’t know how to have any fun.” She remarked with a smirk. “Besides, what is little old me gonna do to a big strong man like you?” She said, placing a hand on her head and posing like a damsel in distress. “I already told you that I want to talk to your Golden King, I wanna know why you follow him, I wanna know about him, about you...” She wasn’t budging. Her answers were still the same, and she was damn persistent.

 •
Also sorry for the occasional writing style change- just testing stuff as my old style seemed to get more boring. You're my victim.
"The Golden King, I have told you, only goes to those he wishes to see. I will talk to him if you stop pestering me. As for myself- well you already heard the great legend of Brutus- slayer of a hundred men have you not?" It seemed that his legend was a great one... For his time. He stood in the silence for a moment before realizing Anna had not heard it, and spoke. "They call me a champion because I killed a hundred men with this here trident. Some no small feat which earned the attention of my king. The great gladiator Brutus! You stand in his presence!"

 • "Indeed! I was brave. But, alas, bravery... Can only go so far." It seemed that his speech had lowered, the black holes in his helm drifting off the woman's face, and away at one of the trees in the courtyard. His attention snapped back to Anna in a matter of seconds, however. "And you? What is your purpose here? Who are you?"

 • “I’m just a girl looking for some fun and some adventure... pretty simple. Things at home got boring, I heard about this place, and so I came.” She said, offering a shrug and a smile.

 • "And what did you expect to find? A fight? I see no weapons upon you, though I suppose that means little here." Brutus kept his eyes straight, making sure that the woman knew he was still on edge, even if relaxed a little by the conversation.

 • “Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they’re not there.” She said with a sly smile. “Besides, there’s something else men like just as much as bloodshed.” She said, offering a seductive smirk.

 • "Indeed. Victory! Now you are speaking my language, Anna! Victory is the key to happiness!" It seemed Brutus had not caught the smile, or had chosen to ignore it. "What man can stand to lose? I cannot, that is for sure. And you? Can you stand to lose? I doubt this is a one gender thing."

 • “Loss is part of life. Can’t win every time. Don’t need to, either. Even in defeat there can be victory in learning how to better yourself.” She remarked, drawing close to him again.

 • "No- you cannot better yourself in defeat. In defeat? You are dead. Stabbed, choked or ripped apart, there is no victory in defeat." Brutus sighed, seemingly getting tired of having to think upon the past. Noticing she drew closer, he kept his ground, deciding that her sharp tongue was the only threat.

 • "You lie! Your first defeat may not lead to death in this world, but it is only a matter of time. Soon enough you'll end up with-" He pointed the trident at Anna, and turned it so that the left point would end up in her throat, should he lunge forward. "Pain, should you not die. Victory is everything, and yet, one must risk their life to earn it." Brutus placed the trident's butt back on the ground, and the black holes in his helm turned away from the woman's face. "Only the strong survive. Those who cannot carry their own weight will be crushed under it."

 • “And the strong do survive. They survive by learning from their mistakes. Experience is the best teacher.” She remarked, slipping to the side of the trident, and placing her hands on his arm as she spoke softly into his ear.

 • "Do you have a death wish, fool?" He jerked her away from his side with another light nudge. It was clear that she would not back off for the time being, so he tried firing a question at her. "Don't you have better things to do? Certainly you were in a rush before."
