"Before I tell you what I found, I want some answers." Nat didn't speak antagonizingly. She knew Isabella was reasonable, so she spoke in a relaxed manner.

  • "...Alright, go ahead." Isabella nodded, turning towards Natalie as she gripped the edges of the war table. She was all ears, for the time.

"The Tribune is the leader, or at least a new leader, of a reborn nation that Trayve nearly lost a war against. Zyria. We hated them.. and they hated us. Back in the day, we were both like oversized toddlers who wanted to take over the continent. Very violent toddlers, to say the least. Zyria's always been painted in a "bad" spotlight, at least by us, and they did the same. And at the time and day, you had reason to. Their king was an asshole. Rаped girls, used his son for dark arts, but.. his people loved him still. Not to a brainwashed point, but they liked him. He was their king, he was good on the outside, and he brought them from ashes to the "second greatest nation" on Tatakai. Then you had Trayve.. they hated us for our "justice"-" Isabella sarcastically remarked. There were mentions of Trayve's justice in the current day.. but she was clearly talking about the past. "-they hated us for our cruelties, they hated us for conquering, and they hated us because we tried to stop them from becoming a superpower of a nation. ...War broke out on both sides, soon enough. And we ripped each other apart. And at the end of the day, it'd be a crippled, weakened, and morally changed king and his pretty son who won. ...I guess you've got more to ask. Fire away, I won't judge."

  • "Alright. Why are you still fighting them? Why not just, I don't know, give them a few places on Tatakai for their people, or try to see reason with them?" Nat didn't want to come off as patronizing, rather she spoke with an inquisitorial tone to her voice, quizzically asking the question rather than demanding answers.

  • "We fight, because we're afraid of them. Trayve is afraid of a reborn Zyria. Freya's afraid of a reborn King of Revelation. And to admit, I'm afraid of them too. When you're always seeing one thing painted and shown in a terrible manner.. you forget that there could be a good manner to it. Another mistake on our part. The closest we've came to giving land to them was their surrender. Even then, that was forced upon them. They took in a new figure, then she died in a week, then another came, then he died, then over and over until we reached the unifying Tribune, whoever the hell he is. The people have always hated Trayve for that, because we refused to even help them for "war crimes" against us. And I know what's next - "who are you to judge war crimes?" If you said that.. you'd be right. Peace hasn't ever worked with them. Negotiations worked with Khaom, and Rivelria.. not them. The only negotiation that we ever had, both ambassadors were slaughtered in the spark of conflict, with the short battle ending with a Zyrian retreat because of reinforcements. Though it's not because they're evil - it's because we're both evils. Evils that might be trying to recover and grow from the past, our pasts, but evils nonetheless. That's why the opportunity of peace will either unify us forever, or just pit us against each other even more." Isabella descended back into silence, looking at Natalie silently.

  • "Alright." Nat really didn't care as much about the philosophy behind the war, what she cared about was the individual person that fights them. Isabella made it sound like the Tribune was the group that was proud of their conquests of war, so it satisfied Nat to know she was helping fight lunatics. And with all that said and done, she took off her satchel and passed it to Isabella. "There, troop movements, reinforcement plans for the city of Khalosh in Ollimand, and a few notes from low level captains."

  • Isabella would nod, as she would begin to look throughout all of the reports, those scarlet eyes studying the papers with a quiet seriousness. Finally, she would look up, shaking her head. "So they're planning on getting Ollimand on their side. This'll turn into a fuсking civil war.. and the Imperium, too. They know about these Ork fuсkers in the mountains.. gods damn it."

  • "Not at the moment. Though now that you have something of a location of these guys.. hmm. They keep mentioning an Ork. Ripgar Oilblood. Sounds like a jackass, but they think they can negotiate. But concerning you.." Isabella smiled, as she would offer out a large, silky bag, that would jingle with the sound of golden coins. "Here. Scouting and spy work's valued.. and you did a great job at it."

  • "Thanks boss," Natalie responded with a grin on her face, as she eagerly took the money and walked off. She didn't know of any bars that would accept gold, but she figured she could find one.

  • "Hey, Nat." Bella said, once last time, with a simple grin on her face. "You don't have to call me "boss", y'know. Bella works fine. Now, stay safe. See if you can exchange gold for whatever currency you guys use." Isabella would simply wave at Nat, before returning to treating her wound. Again. ((Fin I guess, lol.))
