“I have next to no idea, I’m not entirely sure, and as far as I know these are all my clothes.”
-
"Alright, hot amnesiac with social disorders and ripped clothes. Normally I'd just keep moving, but... Fúck it, you need clothes. There's a small store near here that sells them, just up the road, let's go."
-
She remained cautious, but nodded in acknowledgment and followed him.
-
JT led her down to a small store not to far. It wasn't selling any Brandon name clothes, though it was enough to get the woman by. "Head in. The owner knows me, just tell them I sent ya."
-
“And should I refer to you as the edgy Harrison Ford clone?” She says in the exact same tone he used when referring to her as a shitty/edgy assassin.
-
"Good one,"JT responded with a chuckle. He hadn't heard that quip yet. "Most call me JT, my name's th' most generic -blam!-ing thing ever."
-
“JT. Understood.” She turned to head in.
-
Inside, the store was pretty regular. A clothing store that dealt in clothes, of course.
-
She carefully and pragmatically selected a black long sleeved shirt and a pair of comfortable (not tight, never tight) jeans.
-
JT waited outside for her. He would at least show her the common courtesy of acquainting her with the city, since he knew people like her - the oddballs of society - would need a lay of the land to get a leg up in the world. He knew from experience.
-
She paid and stepped outside, noting that he was still there. “Thank you.”
-
"Not a problem. Mind if I show you 'round this wonderful shithole called Dojoville?"
-
She carefully looked him over, and her eyes flicked back and forth, up and down in thought. On one hand, she knew nothing about him and he could easily lead her into a trap. On the other hand, lack of information would make her extremely vulnerable. “I’d appreciate it.”
-
"Alrighty. We'll take the rooftops, gives us a better lay of the land. You any good at Freerunning?"
-
She smiled slightly. She still wasn’t wearing any shoes, so you could see easily the glyph on her foot, which resembled a bird, gleam to life as she bounded up, leapt off a wall, did a flip, and landed atop a roof.
-
JT just extended an arm, launching his hand at the edge of the roof with a wire connecting the two. He shot himself up to the top and stood proudly.
-
Divia shuddered a little at this, but shook it off
-
JT saw it then, the almost sixty story high hotel a few districts away. Rather than tell her that he was heading up, JT just grunted to her and started to sprint over to the building.
-
Divia nodded and headed in the same direction, easily keeping pace.
-
JT looked to be experienced at freerunning, despite being such a heavy and armed figure. He was easily crossing what should have been the hardest gaps and using his grappling hook Aug to grab and swing across lightposts, eventually using it to slingshot himself up the building in only a matter of seconds. Where did he get this experience, though?
-
“Where did you learn that?”
-
"I'm from a place where being augmented ain't legal. And because of that, ain't no cop going to take my side in a mugging case or anything, so I kinda took to the rooftops. Literally all of my friends were like that too. Not augmented, just rooftop dwellers."
-
“Hm.” She kept her thoughts to herself as she moved upwards.
-
JT was waiting at the top for her.
-
“So, what exactly did you want to show me from up here?”
