Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Dojoville Outskirts, 1800 hours Why was that stupid quote running through her pounding head? Divia, was that her name? Yes, that was the name she had been given, but was it hers? Probably. Wondered as she pulled herself to her feet. Her left arm hurt and was swollen, probably broken, but her right arm was okay. Her pants and shirt were damaged, with scabs forming over the torn skin beneath. Her legs still worked, she needed to move away from the steep granite cliff face looming over her. Left, right, left, right. Don’t let yourself sway too much or you’ll fall and might hurt that arm even more. She found a cold, murky pool, and saw herself in it. Her hair was two colors. On the right it was a blondish-gold, what parts of it weren’t matted with blood, and the left was an inky black. Her eyes, blue on the left and brown oh the right seemed almost mismatched to her, though that might have just been because of the reddish-Brown stain tracing its way down from her hairline into her eyebrow, then spreading out like a river delta tracking downwards to her eye. It drew her eye to the red pocket on her black sweatshirt. The old stories used to talk a lot about how really strength comes from the heart. It’s mostly all junk, but maybe heart is what ties in to the ability to keep going. More of those strange ramblings, like introductions to a lecture. Out of instinct, she closed her eyes and focused on that red pocket. No, on the strange glyph written onto the skin underneath. The warm red glow covered her. In her minds eye she examined herself. The wound on her head was the most serious. She looked at it, and maneuvered the tendrils of healing magic to slide the slender shards of skull back where they belonged, and carefully restitched the torn skin and ruined blood vessels. The scrapes along her arms and legs were easier. The epithelial tissue was made for this sort of thing, and the lovely little layers of pink fresh skin grew easily. Last the arm. It was a cleaner break, the sort of fracture you get when you throw your arms out to catch yourself from a fall. The bone set, and the little seam sealed over then chiseled away, good as new, in less than a minute. Divia opened her eyes and cupped her hands into the waters, noticing another pair of glyphs on her left palm and the back of her right hand. Interesting. She drew the cold, clean water up and washed away the bloodstains from above her eye and along her limbs. Then, without too much thought for it, dunked her head underwater to furiously scrub the blood out of her hair. Was it a bit vain? Probably. But bloodstained young women tended to attract attention, and she held the sneaking suspicion that that might not be the wisest thing to do. And so, when she heard footsteps as she sat by the waters and wrung out her hair, she tensed and dashed upwards, landing in the branches of a nearby tree, hand on one of her knives, peering out to see. • She listened to the tune and scanned the nearby area to see if anything else was around, and then carefully observed how far he was from his gun.

 • It was within arms reach, made sense considering he put it down. On his chest piece a barely visible line of writing was visible. It read AMSU, Maine Division. AMSU, the writing for a Witch Hunter. Any who knew what it meant knew what he did for a living. There weren't many solo hunters though. Where was his team?

 • She wasn’t entirely certain why she knew that, but she did know that could be a problem. If his team was around and if he was a threat, she would be hard pressed to escape. But, for some reason, she felt as though the likelyhood of them being threats was somewhat lowered

 • It took him a minute, but as he looked around he though he saw something where she smrested. He spoke, his tone gentle. "Hello? Is someone there? Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." He said on the off chance someone was there

 • Well shit, she’d been detected. She considered her options. 1. Move in, revealing herself but also placing her in a position to score a kill if she had to. She discarded this one because A) she didn’t know this target’s capabilities B) she didn’t know the target’s allies C) the target wasn’t posing a direct threat, and an ally might always be more useful. 2. Retreat. This produced a higher likelyhood of her being detected, and that rifle could be grabbed and fired before she could get out of its effective range if she was detected, which would result in her being wounded or killed. 3. Hold position: She discarded this because it offered the target more time. 4. Which is what she did. Move fast and drop next to the target without any weapons drawn. Close enough that she could engage him in melee and nullify the rifle if necessary, but not immediately provoking hostilities.

 • He turned to face her, his hands open showing no weapons held. He looked over her appearance, seeing the blood stained hair and such "Christo, you ok?" He said looking at her

 • “Christo? I don’t believe that’s my name.” Her voice was cold and deadly serious. She wasn’t trying to sound hostile or intimidating, cold and focused just seemed to be the default.

 • “No. I do have these glyphs on my hands and feet though.” She says, holding up her left hand and revealing the glyph on the palm, and its twin on the back of her right hand.

 • "Chill, I'm not here to hurt you." The voice which spoke out to Divia was one of honesty and truth, the hands of the speaker were raised above her head halfway to show that she wasn't planning to grab a weapon and attack. She who spoke was a female, which was immediately clear with the first word that escaped her thinnish lips. Along with claiming she wasn't hostile, the woman approaching didn't look to be very well equipped for combat either, donning a pair of black tights and a tank top of the same colour, with a pair of black boots. She did wear a lot of black, though she had straight, midnight purple hair and a set of blue eyes to act as the colour on her otherwise pale persona. The woman, in question, was none other than Natalie, though she wasn't well known through the lands. The most notable things about her, with the exception of her visage and apparel, was the staff on her back - Bladed on one end, with a crystal on the other. Although it was fastened in safely on her back, so it wasn't exactly the most menacing next to her black backpack.

 • Divia couldn’t pinpoint why, but that staff and clothing made her incredibly wary. She dropped out of her tree, landing almost uncomfortably close to the woman, staring her down as though evaluating how quickly she’d be able to kill her. Her right hand stayed near her knife, the glyph on the back gleaming softly, ready to be unleashed at a moments notice if she had to. “Who are you?” She asked somewhat unsteadily. Her voice sounded cold and uncomfortable with the words, like somebody who either learned the language as a second or third, or just didn’t talk much.
