Dale stated with a slight frown, deciding to look around with her for the time being, and seeing no one, returned his sight back to Camilla. Watched, huh? Yeah, yeah I've felt that before. But not... All the time... He furrowed his brow confusion, and thought about his situation. If this girl was being watched, as a good role model he should keep her protected from potentially stalkers, but he also didn't want to get wrapped up in something too dangerous. How do you plan on falling asleep, if you worry that much?

 • Camilla smiled to herself, because the answer to that question was just that important to her. “I have a bunch of really close friends. They’ll protect me, I’m sure.” Indeed, she did sound quite certain of this. That she could be so confident was what had caused her to smile. “But anyways. What’s your name? I’m Camilla, but most call me Cam.”

 • Dale Morrison. He answered carefully, keeping a steady eye on the stranger. She upset him. Being cheerful was fine and good, but crashing down with a smile, few injuries, feeling like they're always being watched... And friends that'll protect her, but not at the moment. Everything about her put him on edge, though he supposed it wasn't as bad as someone with dark clothes and an alluring voice. These... Friends, why do they not protect you now?

 • “My friends? Oh, they’re out doing their own thing right now. We just arrived in a new place, after all! I’m not gonna ask them to follow me all over the place.” She responded with equal cheerfulness as before. Considering the fact that Dale was already suspicious, he may or may not’ve gotten an unshakeable feeling that there was something, regardless of how insignificant, that Cammy was hiding. But whether that was because she actually was hiding something or if it was just Dale’s suspicion affecting his perception, couldn’t be determined.

 • He furrowed his brow once more, rubbing his forehead with his free hand and sighing. A good nine out of ten times it would have been believable, but no one was that cheery after what she said. So, what's putting you in a good mood?

 • “A little bit of this, a little bit of that. I’m always in a good mood! See, my philosophy is that time spent sourly is time wasted. Make the most of every second, right?” She continued on with the same effervescent mood, apparently oblivious to Dale’s abnormal interrogation. “What about you? Why wouldn’t you be happy?”

 • Well, mainly financial limitations. Ol' tavern I run with my wife is getting low, so I gotta put my life on the like to keep it running. He quickly slid a hand across his covered chest as if remembering something. He paused... And his voice boomed out once more. That's what makes me sad.

 • Cammy frowned slightly, slightly saddened by Dale’s sadness. “Is there anything I can do to help? I will in any way I can,” She assured him.

 • Nah, Don't worry about it. I've not once met a challenge that I couldn't overcome with enough hardheaded perseverance. He smiled a bit, as if to reassure the small girl in front of him, and continued talking. And I'll be honest, I can do any physical labor you can think of- but fighting monsters is cooler.

 • “Aww... I’m kinda jealous, really. I can barely do anything physical.” That was fairly obvious, considering that her body wasn’t an athletic one; rather, it was skinny and weak. “But I can fight a little! I can throw stuff. And drop really big relics from the sky.”

 • A witch? Definitely. No good and holy woman would drop relics from the sky to smash people's heads in. He had to tread carefully. That sounds... Painful- something I don't want to experience. So- where are you headed? I doubt you're simply going to sit here.

 • “Well... actually... that’s more or less what I’ve been planning on doing. We just arrived here, and I thought that I might just sit around in the open and see what I can learn about this place. Why’s it been burnt to the ground?”

 • "I'll be honest, I don't know either. Like you, I only got here recently. Place was destroyed when I arrived. Good business for my tavern, though." He chuckled at his statement, deciding that perhaps the girl wasn't so bad after all.
Kinda surprised you picked this up- if you're feeling overwhelmed with replies or something just pm me, I'll let you off this time, haha.
