Think the Witcher series. Think Breath of the Wild. Think Resident Evil 4. Think Halo. Now think Destiny. You're apparently a game developer? Good for you. So more than anyone you should be well versed in the disparity of quality between games? And yes, game development's arduous. So referring back to the aforementioned assertion—you'd also be well aware that there's usually some sort of monetary requirement which comes with most video games. $60 for the base game— "Okay, fine." $100 for the ‘delux edition’— "Sure..." $130–$500 for the collector's edition— "This's getting a little bit much." $30–$80 for the season pass— "Oh, come on!" $10 for cosmetics— "..." $50 to surpass the grind— *sigh* $50 for the DLC not included in the season pass $30 for Doritos promotion $60 for the remastered version $30 for remastered DLC $10 for cosmetics in the re— at this point the guy's killed himself. This isn't even taking into account the hugely inflated, inconsistent, and often arbitrary pricing that publishers slap on other regions. Get the point? The devs and publishers get the money for the game. They don't get the gratuity unless the game's genuinely good. Same as everything.
