Thank you for speaking up, I was starting to think that I was the only person who thought this. So good to know that there's other people who realized it.
Sorry for the hate you're getting by the way. Most people seem to be missing your point.
What people don't realize is everything in this game took time to make. That gun you're holding? It had to be modeled, textured, given it's own sound and given it's own perks and stats. If it's an exotic, it had to be given it's own lore in the Lore Tab too. All that combined has to take multiple hours. When you were little, did your mother ever make you a meal that you didn't like, but she made you eat it anyway? Then your father chimes in and says "You should appreciate that Mom made this for you, instead of complaining." Bungie made this meal for you. You may not like it, and you can give suggestions to make it better, but you should at least respect the people who made it. I'm NOT saying you have to like Destiny 2, but I AM saying that you should respect the developers.

  • The money we used to pay for the game took time to make & was also hard earned. The whole "make a game yourself" reply is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. That would be like you getting cut &someone telling you to go to medical school if you want to be healed.

  • The devs haven’t done anything to earn respect, and everything except for maybe the gunplay is done better in Warframe, which is FREE. They had no right to sell this game for $60, and it’s not like what they did was the hardest game development project ever made

  • I don't think anyone is blaming the artists, Bungie excels in making gorgeous games. I respect every artist from the hand guy (who makes what you see in first person) to the environment and concept artists. As far as core mechanics and story direction for D2, I enjoyed none of it.

  • Never once did I have to buy my Mom's cooking prior to consuming it. Btw, I have found a car you may really, really like. I mean after all, it also encompassed all your criteria. • No body made you buy D2 either. You choose to. It's an inherent risk anytime you buy anything. Will it work, will it fit, will it shrink, will it fade, will it stay in style... The thing is that they can over time improve the game. I think the majority of gamers expect every new game to mind blowing and something they've never seen before, so no game can ever live up to the hype they've built up in their own minds. Look at the MK franchise and most every other long lived franchise, they base themselves off previous games, but they change for better and worse, every iteration and they still live on. ME3 got ripped to shreds, it wasn't nearly as bad as the people who hated it made it out to be, but their complaints destroyed the franchise. The D2 community seems to want to follow suit. It's crazy that people would rather see the game destroyed out of spite, because it's not tailored to each individual players wants, than play the game for what it is and enjoy it or move on. I quit playing D1 multiple times because it was so broken, but I never wanted the game, company and employees railroaded and destroyed because I didn't like the game. I simply moved on to other games, I came back to D1 2 or 3 times, too. The forum community needs to get a grip on it's OCD/addictive mentality. This is a game we all playing, not a lifestyle, not an alternate reality, A GAME. If the opinion that D2 doesn't live up to the forum community's expectations and that's the thing they have to complain about most in life, you either have NO life, or a really good life. D2 needs work, but it's not the worst game ever, or even close.

  • lol I bought the game because I had high hopes, and now that everyone can pretty much agree the game was a dissapointment, we can complain about it.

  • I bought TF2 with high hopes over the broken mess of D1. It sucked. I stopped playing it and played new games. I didn't go on a verbal temper tantrum rampage calling for the end of Respawn or the TF series. I was out $60 and got on with my gaming.

  • I’m not saying you have to go on a verbal tempertantrum, but most people will do that if they feel they are cheated out of $60. Btw tf2 is a great game and you’re probably the only one who bought it to say it sucks

  • TF2 is the epitome of Reskinned EVERYTHING, all you play for is paint jobs. Absolutely ZERO variety of weapons and and the Campaign was to boring to finish. Isn't that what everybody hates about D2? Also the Pvp was just a big twitch/sniper/spam fest when I played. Run as fast as you can directly at someone or camp with a sniper. Wow, that's some fun gameplay.

  • The money most used to pay for the game was earned from hard work. That's why we have the right to value if the product we the consumer bought was validated. Telling people it's just a game is strait ignorance & says just how much you hate your life(being you need to judge others). By your logic --> if every Bungie employee was fired and had to live on the street it would be fine. After all they just made a GAME!!!

  • Are you insane? How does my response in anyway shape or form say they should be fired? I think they (Bungie) deserve a reasonable chance to improve the game, not cater to the whim of every single player who thinks the game is solely about them and how they want the game to play. It IS a game. Were you one of the people that thought Avatar was an alternate reality that could exist outside of the theater? Actually I love life, wife, kid, good health, nice home, good job, get to travel, ride my motorcycle, good family and friends. This is just a game where I come to have fun, shoot some stuff, get some competion in PvP, then I go to bed, sleep well, enjoy my day of life in tne real world and turn on D2 when I take care of all of my REAL, ACTUAL life responsibilities. Good day to you, sir or madam.

  • No, no one did. My son bought it. : )
I think the majority of gamers expect every new game to mind blowing and something they've never seen before, so no game can ever live up to the hype they've built up in their own minds.
You're right, but many of us have been around long enough to have been through enough promise premiers only to get a game that is either part of what was promised, or hardly anything that was promised to know better than to trust them. I personally don't hate the game. I don't want to see it fail. All I am saying is that the criticism that all so many have been stating here shouldn't be ignored. There is a reason the is so much of it, and mostly all on exactly the same points. They wouldn't be complaining if they wanted the game to fail either. They'd simply uninstall it.

Again, I never said you have to like the game. That car? It may suck, but the people behind it probably worked pretty hard to design it. That doesn't mean I like the car, just means I respect the creators.

  • Ford thought this car was a GREAT idea. It cost billions (today's money) to develop. But the car buying masses spoke, and Ford got the message loud and clear. That car nearly sank Ford.

  • Like I told you before, I'm not against the individuals who work there. It's about calling out those who made the final decisions on what is released that need to be said, but seem to be ignored. It gives that Ivory Tower analogy a lot of legitamacy.
