“Hey, I wouldn’t touch that if I were you. First time using it can be a little—” As soon as her hand connected with the staff’s handle, the biometric sensor scanned her fingerprints and, not recognizing them, did what they were designed to do: retaliate. The staff issued a powerful blast of electricity straight through the hilt, depleting the taser completely. Like most of the gear that Eddie had repurposed from his father’s old loadouts, this one was specifically programmed to recognize Tobias signatures. While the other ones we’re merely inconvenient jolts, this reflex was designed specifically to incapacitate. “-shocking.” Eddie finished his bad pun with a smile, beneath his mask. He’d wondered when that would come in handy. Taking advantage of the situation, he rolled away from the “gun”, hoping that even if the staff discharged, it would hit his Kevlar vest at the absolute worst. To help him, he slid an electromagnetic Star in the opposite direction, which attempted to tether the staff to a nearby street pole, jerking its aim away from Eddie.

 • The girl let out a pained yell, clenching all her muscles at once and warping the baton in half essentially, her body unable to handle the amount of volts that went through it. Her body spasming made the spear go off again, the magnetic field arching its aim, and the next thing Eddie knew, he couldn't hear out of his left ear. Crumpling like paper, she hit the ground, unconscious and twitching randomly.

 • Eddie stumbled up, one hand tapping on his ear, which had been deafened by the gunshot in close proximity. For now, sheer adrenaline would carry him through. He walked over to Rose’s unconscious body and, with his last electromagnetic star (which he really needed a simpler name for) tethered her arms and legs together, so that all of her extremities were locked to one another. Unfamiliar with the ways of the Dojo, Eddie figured that there would be some kind of police force to detain her eventually—after all, he hadn’t really expected himself to win the fight, so he hadn’t planned this far in advanced. For now, he had a few things to take care of. His staves were gone, but he could replace them eventually. What mattered now was the $150,000 briefcase that he now carried in his hands, all the stuff that he’d left behind, and the issue with the gunshot that he’d heard from the apartment. The latter would have to come first. He broke off into a jog, seeking to check on the apartment’s residents, returning the money and making sure that nobody had been seriously hurt.

 • The fighting and gunshots had attracted attention, but since the Dojo was, well, Dojo, police wouldn't be there to investigate. Leaving Rose be, she would wake soon, and since his traps where metal, she could and did escape them by warping the device and shutting down the energy drives. Doing the same to retrieve her rifle, she then split like a banana, in a somewhat complicated way.

 • That was all well and good—for Eddie, ignorance was bliss, and he just thought that he’d had his little hero moment. But that part wasn’t over yet. As he attempted to get into the robbed apartment through the fire escape, he briefly looked over his shoulder (which carried the briefcase of money) to see if his stuff was still where he left it, before continuing to climb up the ladder, anxious to see the condition of the robbed occupants.

 • Eddie was met with yelling, and the sound of a pump shotgun as he used the fire escape. The owner's reaction being someone else was there to rob the place. Rose, being disorientated as high hell, stumbled out the end of the alley she came in, seeing the chaos of the store, and went in the opposite direction. People gave her a few weird stares, but she ignored them. Then she found Eddie's bags. Each contained something essential, but Rose was a stickler for loot, and right now, payback more than anything. He took her bag, which she needed badly, so why not take some of his stuff? Checking both, she took the one containing his gear, as well as contorted the zipper and metals of his second bag to make it hard to deal with. Then, she half stumbled half jogged off, leaving Eddie to find out what happened.

 • Eddie ducked, dodging the first blast of the shotgun. He reached into the bag and, using it as an extension of his own hand, swiped the shotgun aside as if he were hitting a tennis racket. “Whoa whoa whoa, calm down man. I’m just here to give you your money back—all $110,000 that the robber took.” Eddie tossed the bag towards the resident, causing them to drop the shotgun in order to catch the money, and promptly dipped back outside of the fire escape. Taking a brief sigh of relief, Eddie looked at the wad of cash that he’d taken from that rather rude rob-ee, and grinned cheekily to himself... and then when he caught sight of his mutilated bag, his smile turned into gritted teeth. Well, at least he had some cash to work with. He picked up his bag of clothes, and deciding to ignore the disappearance of his bag of gear, went on his merry way to his hotel room, where he planned on taking a long ass nap.
Anyways, the gear bag contained a few of those electromagnetic stars, the “hard” part of his outfit, and some extra equipment for his cameras that he couldn’t fit in his suitcase. • Rose went on her own way, back to the outskirts of the city where she would sort through the bag and decide what was worth keeping with her special other. The stars certainly would be useful, and she planned to get more. The armor, maybe, but for now she would ignore it. With that, she left the rest of its contents in a chest in her tent, and kept the rest.
End for now I guess
