With one half of both his staff and his plan failing before his eyes, Eddie decided to switch it up slightly. Instead of keeping his opponent at a range, he quickly split his staff into two once more, discarding the heavier half of the staff in a fluid moment as he slashed out with the other stave, this time at a higher power level. Eddie didn’t have much for gear, but he was at least competent physically. Butler’s tutorials in martial arts, combined with his previous experience in gymnastics and boxing, gave him a decent opportunity to come out on top in hand-to-hand combat. He swept his right leg across the ground, attempting to sweep the girl’s legs out from beneath her, and then switched stances so that his left side was facing her, ready to block any counterstrike.

 • She had jumped, avoiding it, then jerked the spear between them both. She had the benefit of range, and a floating weapon, now. Using her own newfound advantage, she shoved the bladed end forward at him, then spun it in the air to strike him with the blunt end. She seemed to be doing a more militarist fighting style to control the spear, her actions reflecting what happened with it. A right hook spun it around, and then kicking made it go forward, and so on.

 • Eddie ducked under the blunt end of the spear, barely breaking stride as he sped towards his opponent. He’d given up on attempting to batter the spear, but he’d still pay attention to where it was behind him. He threw a quick jab towards her face—a warning strike—followed by a powerful sideways kick to the gut. His remaining stick crackled with electricity, but he kept it in his right hand, preparing to parry or deflect the staff if it came any closer. Right now, his only goal was disabling the girl, and figuring out what she was fighting for. “Listen,” he said, his face distorted slightly beneath his mask, which consisted of some type of balaclava and goggles, “I ain’t trying to kill you. Just put the floating stick down, and maybe we can talk this out.”

 • The butt end slammed into the back of his head then, and stopped there, a click heard of the rifle being ready. For him, he could tell it was ready to fire, but where the barrel rested was the problem. In reality, Rose was smarter than most, and the barely didn't rest near his head, but at his chest. If he did move, he would still get shot. And since he was now held at gun point, she could call the shots now; and she took full advantage. "Done playing hero, Ace?" She mocked him in her own cooing tone, a sadistic grin on her face as she waited for an answer.

 • Eddie rolled his eyes beneath his mask, groaning slightly as he realized how dumb he’d been. The blow had brought him down low, and now he was crouched down, still seeing stars as he regained his bearings, and realized that she was mocking him. Well, at gunpoint, there wasn’t much he could do about it. “Yeah I think I’m done.” he said quietly, a thoroughly disappointing retort to a disappointing fight. While the seeds of a plan were planted in the back of his mind, for the time being, it’d probably be best for him to play along with her schtick. “So, is it time for your monologue yet?” he said sarcastically.

 • "No, its about time I take a souvenir, split like a banana and then get away in some overly complicated way." She stuck her hand out, the baton with the metal stuck to it flying into her hand, the metal she stuck to it retaking its place on her arm, disguised as a simple band. Now that she had touched it, if he got it back, well it wouldn't go well then. "Nice tazers, felt my heart stop when you hit me with it." She shrugged, then pocketed it. "If you can afford these, you can get a replacement. Might as well make it a trade." Grinning, she unslung her bag, and tossed it to the ground in front of him. Inside was enough cash to buy whatever was needed, roughly 15,000 in cash. Rose smirked again, watching him as she set her right foot back, body half turned. She seemed confident, cocky almost. Suitable for someone like her.

 • “Hey, I wouldn’t touch that if I were you. First time using it can be a little—” As soon as her hand connected with the staff’s handle, the biometric sensor scanned her fingerprints and, not recognizing them, did what they were designed to do: retaliate. The staff issued a powerful blast of electricity straight through the hilt, depleting the taser completely. Like most of the gear that Eddie had repurposed from his father’s old loadouts, this one was specifically programmed to recognize Tobias signatures. While the other ones we’re merely inconvenient jolts, this reflex was designed specifically to incapacitate. “-shocking.” Eddie finished his bad pun with a smile, beneath his mask. He’d wondered when that would come in handy. Taking advantage of the situation, he rolled away from the “gun”, hoping that even if the staff discharged, it would hit his Kevlar vest at the absolute worst. To help him, he slid an electromagnetic Star in the opposite direction, which attempted to tether the staff to a nearby street pole, jerking its aim away from Eddie.

 • The girl let out a pained yell, clenching all her muscles at once and warping the baton in half essentially, her body unable to handle the amount of volts that went through it. Her body spasming made the spear go off again, the magnetic field arching its aim, and the next thing Eddie knew, he couldn't hear out of his left ear. Crumpling like paper, she hit the ground, unconscious and twitching randomly.

 • Eddie stumbled up, one hand tapping on his ear, which had been deafened by the gunshot in close proximity. For now, sheer adrenaline would carry him through. He walked over to Rose’s unconscious body and, with his last electromagnetic star (which he really needed a simpler name for) tethered her arms and legs together, so that all of her extremities were locked to one another. Unfamiliar with the ways of the Dojo, Eddie figured that there would be some kind of police force to detain her eventually—after all, he hadn’t really expected himself to win the fight, so he hadn’t planned this far in advanced. For now, he had a few things to take care of. His staves were gone, but he could replace them eventually. What mattered now was the $150,000 briefcase that he now carried in his hands, all the stuff that he’d left behind, and the issue with the gunshot that he’d heard from the apartment. The latter would have to come first. He broke off into a jog, seeking to check on the apartment’s residents, returning the money and making sure that nobody had been seriously hurt.

 • The fighting and gunshots had attracted attention, but since the Dojo was, well, Dojo, police wouldn't be there to investigate. Leaving Rose be, she would wake soon, and since his traps where metal, she could and did escape them by warping the device and shutting down the energy drives. Doing the same to retrieve her rifle, she then split like a banana, in a somewhat complicated way.

 • That was all well and good—for Eddie, ignorance was bliss, and he just thought that he’d had his little hero moment. But that part wasn’t over yet. As he attempted to get into the robbed apartment through the fire escape, he briefly looked over his shoulder (which carried the briefcase of money) to see if his stuff was still where he left it, before continuing to climb up the ladder, anxious to see the condition of the robbed occupants.

 • Eddie was met with yelling, and the sound of a pump shotgun as he used the fire escape. The owner's reaction being someone else was there to rob the place. Rose, being disorientated as high hell, stumbled out the end of the alley she came in, seeing the chaos of the store, and went in the opposite direction. People gave her a few weird stares, but she ignored them. Then she found Eddie's bags. Each contained something essential, but Rose was a stickler for loot, and right now, payback more than anything. He took her bag, which she needed badly, so why not take some of his stuff? Checking both, she took the one containing his gear, as well as contorted the zipper and metals of his second bag to make it hard to deal with. Then, she half stumbled half jogged off, leaving Eddie to find out what happened.

 • Eddie ducked, dodging the first blast of the shotgun. He reached into the bag and, using it as an extension of his own hand, swiped the shotgun aside as if he were hitting a tennis racket. “Whoa whoa whoa, calm down man. I’m just here to give you your money back—all $110,000 that the robber took.” Eddie tossed the bag towards the resident, causing them to drop the shotgun in order to catch the money, and promptly dipped back outside of the fire escape. Taking a brief sigh of relief, Eddie looked at the wad of cash that he’d taken from that rather rude rob-ee, and grinned cheekily to himself... and then when he caught sight of his mutilated bag, his smile turned into gritted teeth. Well, at least he had some cash to work with. He picked up his bag of clothes, and deciding to ignore the disappearance of his bag of gear, went on his merry way to his hotel room, where he planned on taking a long ass nap.
Anyways, the gear bag contained a few of those electromagnetic stars, the “hard” part of his outfit, and some extra equipment for his cameras that he couldn’t fit in his suitcase. • Rose went on her own way, back to the outskirts of the city where she would sort through the bag and decide what was worth keeping with her special other. The stars certainly would be useful, and she planned to get more. The armor, maybe, but for now she would ignore it. With that, she left the rest of its contents in a chest in her tent, and kept the rest.
End for now I guess
