"Lord Lucius Gilliam Cain and Vorgen Thayle, representatives of the Imperium." Gilliam had told Freya, his voice booming with authority and due to the vox enhancer in his helmet.

  • JT never was one for arriving on time to all that many events, he tended to be fashionably late in a sense. But this kind of thing was something one wouldn't like being all that late for, so arriving just on time was something he would settle on. Keeping up appearances was important to him - Perhaps he wanted to feel like a free and rebellious spirit, or maybe it was to give off a feeling of power, that everyone would operate on his time - and that needed to be a key point when in a room full of other power players. The Marshal arrived on the back of his horse, Sullivan, and ascended the hill to the Dojo on a pair of fancy chestnut oxfords. The gates opened at the wave of a hand as two guards of the Dojo (figures made of Nanites, put in place by JT to act as officers of the peace should things go awry) pushed them open for him. He straightened out the brown suit he wore beneath the freshly cleaned duster, smelling slightly of lavender as he took his place next to Gilliam Cain. JT was ostensibly weaponless with the exception for a pistol he kept in his duster's inner pocket, although he didn't show any signs of fear. Rather the expression on his face was rather calm and diplomatic, with a hint of his disgruntled nature being hidden beneath layers of charm and a well maintained calmness that radiated from him. "Marshal JT, representing the law of the Dojo and it's holdings."

  • The tall ashen haired warrior entered shortly after, his leather armour over his winter clothing. He looked around, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly as he realized he came in late. The ashen haired girl waved her brother over, and he immediately listened to her, moving to her side. The girl looked awfully young to be there, and she was fully aware that she likely was too young to be there. Little did the others know however, she was raised in a court based environment. So, she felt at home here. “Lilly and Cain Coldbourne.” She introduced. “Representing ourselves in affiliation to the Dojo.”

"Sophia Smith...I guess. Umm...most of you probably know me as Star though if you know...me...at all. Wait, was I supposed to introduce myself or...?" Star sat down with a nervous smile, not really sure of herself. For once in her life she had her hair combed properly, but her clothes were still consisting of a casual leather jacket and jeans. "Tracinya...Al-uhh...Aloenia? No. Wait! I got it! It's Tracinya Aeolian! Sorry, kinda going with my mother's last name now and I didn't really know a week ago what it was. Anyway, I'm Freya's lover. It's nice to meet you all." Traci sat down with a giggle, crossing her legs. She wore a more conservative outfit than normal; a white t-shirt, normal length red skirt, and black leggings. She sat there with a smile, rocking back and forth in her seat.

  • Freya had taken to recognizing each of the individuals that were present. Hell, she was happy that she received such a group. There were a few realists - JT in particular, possibly Gilliam - while both of them packed the true heat in the council. JT with whatever contacts he had, and Gilliam with the Imperium. On the other hand, you had the hopefuls - the ones that had put themselves behind her cause. Alric, Star, or rather Sophia, Traci.. and then, Cain and Lilly, of which she had yet to decide upon. "...Good. We're all here.." Freya would sigh a little to herself, motioning for a few men in the background to approach the table. They would lay out a map of a foreign Tatakai - where the Dojo was, would lay the city "KHAOM", bearing a blood red flag with a black dragon's skull in the centerpiece. South, to the deserts, was "RIVELRIA", a light blue eagle flying across the small grey flag upon the canvas. And to the west, upon Ollimund.. Trayve, darted by a purple flag and golden lion. But beyond those three countries.. The map was painted a bright white color, stretching across the medieval Tatakai. And in the center of the Tatakoi Plains, would lie a single black dot. A crossed, white flag, with a raised fist in the center - "CHARATH". "...Carath is the secondary city of Zyria, it's.. predecessor. Alric would know that Zyria was both the home of Julian, my younger brother, and.. the enemy of the Trayvens, years ago. Carath is finishing the job, in reality. And this time, lead by a man chosen by it's people - the Tribune is all that he is called, but he basks in what Zyria used to bring other worlds to their knees: the barrier set up around our garrison.. that wasn't even a fraction of what they could do." Freya would sigh, continuing. "...If the Tribune takes Trayve, then it's over for my dimension. If he enters this reality.. his corruption would paralyze entire worlds. You can.. see the desperation in the situation. My order was to enslave the Dojo through conquering. Instead.. I offer my hand. To all of you, in hopes that this future doesn't come. We'll need a plan."

  • Gilliam perused the map, thinking of what to say. The Servo-Skull hummed slightly as it printed down what Freya had said on paper. "How does the barrier work exactly? More importantly, where will they possibly invade from? Because where this...precursor city is located is worryingly close to the Fortress of which my men are located at. In terms of dimensions and whatnot."

"Firstly, and most notably, we cannot take the battle to the Takatoi plains. The place is littered with monsters, and a direct attack there will result in hundreds, if not thousands dead." Alric would sigh at the concept of so many dead, drumming the fingers of his right hand against the wooden surface of the table. "No, we'll have to hit them somewhere else. The Nozama rain forest." With his left hand, Alric gestured to the Nozama rainforest and its accompanying mountains that sat just north east of the plains. "If we could somehow lure them into the forest, we could use an guerilla warfare to inflict damage on their numbers."

  • “I’ll be the bait.” Cain said, not even flinching at the commitment. “Wait what?!” Lilly let out with a lowered brow. “I can attract a significant portion of troops from the city, as well as outrun them. Once I lure them to my position, I can summon Anjelica and we can ride to the rain forest, where our troops will lie in wait. They will need their fastest troops to keep up with me, thus all of the soldiers I bring to the forest will likely be the Cavalry. We will be able to take down an entire line of defence in a co-ordinated assault, making an invasion on the castle much easier.” The ashen haired warrior crossed his arms, looking around the table for approval.

  • "I can get some people to help with said invasion," JT put forwards. The cowboy smiled to himself then - Decades of working to establish his contacts and now he was finally able to put it to use. "I'm owed a few favours with a paramilitary corporation I have heavy investments in, they can supply troops. I can oversee the battle goes well on the main field, and I can call up a friend or two to go into the castle with you all."

  • Star sighed, leaning back in her seat. She wasn't a leader of any sort, so she felt out of place in the meeting, but upon hearing the idea of bringing others in she got an idea. "Hey! I bet I could contact a few old friends from my days in the League. I'm not the only trick shooter in the world and some of them are incredibly skilled warriors. There may not be a lot that would be willing to die for this cause, but they'll be top tier." Traci remained seated and silent for the first time anyone had seen at the table.

"A cavalry isn't going to follow into a forest and stop. That would be a death trap. Additionally.. Zyria's not exactly fond of traversing forests: they're more prone to burning them down and traveling through them. As of now, these barriers work to shut down anything anomalous to them - guns, technology, magic, that sort. It has always been an expectation of Zyria's armies to force one to play their own games: in this case, melee and utilizing a Libertas. We have a supply of Liberti, but it won't be enough to supply everyone. Though my brother rides for the Dojo tonight.. we should be able to end this war across Tatakai before it even begins." Freya would sigh, continuing. "Gilliam, JT, Star.. seeing as each of you utilize gun warfare and technology, we could try our chances with the Libertate Arma. It would allow you to use your technologies and guns.. to some degree. I doubt that the prototypes could manage something massive, but it is a thought. Gilliam.. I would find it unlikely that they assault the Imperium head-on. Even with numbers and anti-technologies, they would rather establish a foothold than possibly suffer defeat. Therefore.. Ollimand seems more likely. By taking the cities there, they could easily establish their gateway into this world. Still.. we need all the help that we can get. JT, Star, contact your support whenever you can."

  • "Can't we just lance them as soon as they arriv-" Gilliam was interrupted by Vorgen whispering to him. "Nevermind, disregard that. However, I do believe we can prepare an ambush at Ollimand. Though this does bring me an idea, if we can prepare an ambush, how about we bribe the Orks that are hiding in the Shi Canyon with dakka or whatever the hell they want. Get rid of two nuisances in one stroke as they kill each other." "Dakka means guns, by the by."

  • "The only situation with hiring the beasts is that... We are unsure of what they might do." Alric pointed at the Shi Canyon, sitting south east of Ollimand. "The Shi Canyon, firstly, is being led by an Oligarchy that seized power after the fall of the Coldbournes. If they discover we are using the orks, it may raise tensions." Alric moved his hand to the left, now hovering over the continent of Ollimand. "Secondly, the beasts might not fight for us. What if they decide they would prefer to work with the Tribune forces? The two of them together.... It could raise problems." Alric sighed lightly, placing his hand against the wooden surface of the table and glancing around at the various faces. "Where would we even receive such firepower? And why give it to them? Lady Freya mentioned they have magic to work against that, so what if the Orks fail? The Tribune could very well take up those arms and use them against us." "Using the beasts, orks, whatever you may wish to call them, is far too risky."

  • "I... Know a guy. He can help with the Orks. His group has been kind of sympathetic to them in the past." While these Orks were unknown, JT put forth an ally who had dealt with Orkish folk in the past. His time on the Bloodwrath had not been spent in vein, since he now had contact to delegates of a group of particularly angry space Mongolians.

  • “So....I’m not exactly familiar with these orcs...” Lilly admitted, looking at the two who had suggested the usage of them. “But...well if they were smart enough, wouldn’t they team up with the invading force? Having two armies against us instead of one could prove to be...well...very bad. Like...REALLY bad.”

  • Star slowly spoke up with a confused expression. "Don't we know a girl that has close connections to that Oligarchy? What's her name? Lyn? Maybe she could help. • "Even if guns wouldn't work.. the Orks could work, for a time. The few remaining Orcs after the conquering of the land were known for being bred for war and.. rather creative manners of fighting humanity, though they were wiped out by sheer numbers. I doubt it would be the same here. This Lyn.. we should contact her, sooner or later." Freya stood over her spot at the war table, thoughts processing through her mind.

  • "My lady, apologies for my words here but are you sure this is a wise decision? The warriors of the dojo have fought against these orks ever since their arrival." Alric stated softly, looking towards Freya. "Twice over, they nearly attacked our village, and twice over we have tried to become allies towards them. Twice over, our attempts failed as the Orks did as they pleased, moving wherever they pleased." Alric would sigh at that, looking down at the table. "They cannot be trusted."

  • "With absolutely no due respect, that's because almost everybody at the top of that hill has the same level of intelligence as a ferret on amphetamines." JT spoke up in a matter-of-fact tone of voice - He was patronizing and antagonistic, but he pulled it off in a way that made him sound almost like a lawyer. Civil, yet willing to rebut everything the opposition with put forth. "Y'all have sent a few troops a couple of times, right? Why didn't you just drop bombs on them from orbit and call it a day? The fact that they don't possess that level of intelligence is a sign that they can be manipulated, and you guys can be the manipulators if you would get your shit together for once in your sloppy lives. And before you say it - This matter was none of my concern, so no, I didn't help you guys annihilate them beforehand. I don't step into a matter like that unless the stakes are high."

“I do hope you deem the stakes high now, JT.” Cain said to the cowboy. “If we are not all aboard on this plan, Tatakai is doomed.” “Right. And I’m not on board with anything th-that has to do with these orcs unless we know they can be controlled!” Lilly said, piping up. “If we can’t control these...creatures, then I’ll repeat myself. We’ll have to deal with two army’s instead of one. And I don’t think we can rely on superior fire power when the enemy we are fighting has the ability to take us back to the Stone Age! So, does anyone have ANY idea on how we convince or manipulate these orcs and ensure they go against the enemy, and not us?” The ashen haired princess asked as she finished, looking around the room for a comment.

  • "I could sneak in, slaughter all of their leadership in one night and see if that'll cause them to rally behind me or wish to kill me. Maybe I'll wear the leader's skin to show dominance when I tell them to kneel..." Traci said coldly all of a sudden, as if she had done this several times over.

"...If these Orks are as violent and manipulatable as you all say, then we shouldn't even have to bait them out with wealth and fortune. We should lead them straight into the one thing that they love - combat. Gilliam.. seeing as you brought the matter up, I assume that you know the Orks much more than I would. I would appreciate your help on the subject, alongside anyone else's help. While I'm surprised that their threat hasn't been dealt with yet.." Freya's eyes looked over at Cain and Alric. It was something that she had acknowledged over the span of the conversation, and something that she would support JT on. "...We could still utilize their bloodlust to some extent. The only fear is the Tribune offering his own bribery, albeit in the face of the Ork hordes."

  • "That is quite possibly the- actually...go ahead Traci, I implore you. No, no, I'd say you are obliged to do such an idiotic stunt that'll get you killed by their Warboss." Gilliam had berated Traci with that comment, annoyance clear in his booming voice. He was on the verge of just shouting at their ignorance of the Orks. "Onto the Orks. No we can't bomb them from orbit, namely because it would leave a crater about 1 kilometer long. For the Retribution. However, a Deathwatch squad is currently occupying the Retribution. I'll try to...convince them to come along once needed. The Orks can be talked to, though they'll either want something inane like a hat or to "krump sum gitz" as they would say. Either way, it should be easy to lead them on to a fight. Then if the situation is culled with this Tribune, I will have a flamer squad torch any surviving Orks and the surrounding areas. Upon death they release spores into the air, which in turn grows more Orks. This faction that occupies the Canyon as well might recieve a surprise if they haven't burned their bodies or whatever."

It’s bound to happen to at least one of us...”
