Who doesn't like to mentally torture their Guardians? I do.
Nightmare from Ireland Dreams of Sarah Grey She stood alone, in the Dojo Woods. Words echoed from a mysterious memory she had but couldn't figure out where it was from. "Everybody's sorry fer somethin, but yer still selfish enough ta do it in the first place." "Who's saying that?" She asked. She slowly turned around. Sarah saw someone behind her. A Hunter, no less. A Hunter, with the hood of his cloak up. The armor was unrecognizable to her. Literally. It was like what his armor was supposed to be was erased from her mind. "Who are you?" She demanded, her right hand reaching for her Dark-Drinker, the sword that rested strapped to her back. "Ya don't... remember me love?" The Hunter asked, an Irish accent was prominent. He pulled down the hood of his cloak. The Hunter had short, wavy, dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He had two red stripe tattoos running down his left cheek. Surely, Sarah would remember someone who would stand out like that in a crowd... right? Yet, she still didn't recognize him. The Hunter spoke again, "Sarah, love? Where's yer ring." He was looking at her right hand. He reached for it, taking her hand, looking at it. Her hand was bare, without glove. She pulled her hand away. "Why would I have a ring?" She demanded, "I'm not engaged. Or married. Or even dating. I've been single for years!" "Ya don't remember...?" He asked, "Yer married... ta me. Don't ya remember, Lady Warlock?" The Hunter had called her that, and those words felt.... familiar. Sarah's hand reached for the Dark-Drinker, again, "What do you mean?! It's been just me and Lunar. And recently Seraph, but that's aside from the point. I don't love you. I don't even know you! Get away from me!" "Sarah..." the Hunter begged, weakly. Her hand wrapped around her sword's handle. Pulling it off her back. She swung it once, and the Dark-Drinker decapitated the Hunter.
Stabbed in the heart with the Feels-Lighter.™ Bad spirit Dojo James. Bad Spirit Dojo James. I'll call Ghostbusters on you again.
Waking Moments 02:54, Dojo Woods, and Coincedently Near where Zavala's Shallow, Unmarked Grave Is. The Warlock awoke, sweating. She was breathing heavily. Lunar appeared, calming her down, "Easy, easy, Sarah. It was just a nightmare." "Lunar?" She asked, sitting up. "Yeah?" The Ghost asked. "For a Ghost that sounds like Nolan North, you know how to calm people down. Thanks." "Want Seraph to lull you back to sleep again?" He asked. "No, but I do want to speak to her, Seraph!" The whitish-grey code replica of the Warlock appeared at her left shoulder, "Yes, Miss Grey?" "I told you to drop the formalities, geez. I thought your patronizing subroutines were offline. Anyway, have you found any similarities between the memories and the nightmare?" Sarah asked. "Just your impulsiveness. Nothing else. That Hunter isn't showing up in any of our memories. More information may be needed," Seraph replied. "Nothing in any of my memories, either," Lunar said. "This probably isn't a missing piece," Sarah said. "It could be," Seraph suggested. "Seraph, it probably isn't," the Guardian argued. Seraph muttered something, "Tá do stubbornness ag clashing le do instincts arís." "What?" Sarah asked. "Nothing...." Seraph replied. • "As long as she'll be okay in the end....At least we don't have to worry about something trying to come and kill her while she's out, right?" Bedlam chuckled.

  • Lunar sighed, "She will probably have another nightmare." The Ghost floated around her. "It'll be okay, Warlock."

  • "I can enter and try to do something to make it not a nightmare...?" Bedlam didn't seem so sure. "I'm not used to using powers constructively."

  • "Don't you do that all the time," Lunar asked. The Ghost was concerned for his guardian.

  • "Hell no. I'm used to destroying and causing mayhem. But...I like her enough to try and help. So, with your permission, being her ghost, I'll help her."

  • "Eh, this'll be fun." He winked at the ghost in a joking manner before placing his forehead against Sarah's, entering whatever nightmare or dream she may or may not be having.

  •
Deep s**t incoming.
Since he was fast enough to beat any dreams or nightmares to her mind, he saw it. The representation of herself, truly. It was was rather ridiculously familiar. This image was horrifying. The Warlock looked beat up, covered in scars and open cuts, her armor just as battered as her face, as she kneeled. She was holding up a giant tornado-like pillar of cloud that weighed down on her back along with a layer of the sameclouds that hid the sky or maybe the ceiling. Nothing was helping her hold up the weight, but he saw a few crumpled stone pillars and ruins to her left and right.

  • "Oh, Sarah..." Bedlam walked over, if he even could in the dreamscape, an expression of worry. "You're so broken....Can you hear me, Sarah? I'll help you. I know what it's like to be broken and beaten in every way. I'll heal you."

"That's... what they all say," she croaked, "But some pieces.... of them... were swept up. I've been... doing my best. But their l.... support would only... keep it off me... for short periods... of time. Not long enough... for me... to heal...."

  • "Mind if I give it a shot?" Bedlam attempted to lift all of the weight off Sarah. "Might kill myself doing this, but eh...I've never let death stop me before."

  • "No," her voice was hoarse, "It's my memories. My burden. I don't want to share them." Her gaze fell upon the ruins to her right.

  • "Why? Come on, let me share the burden. That's what friends are for, Sarah. They exist to help you when you need it." He followed her gaze before turning back to her. "Let me have it, Sarah. I promise you I won't let you down...and I never promise anything so that means a lot."

  • She groaned. She tried to force it back, standing with one knee facing towards the anamoly. This strong knee buckled as the groaned again. She was back to nearly on her hands and knees, "You... won't believe... how much it's grown. And how fast. I can... barely... lift... it... but it's my burden. And everyone... who I let... close enough... to see it... are dead..."

  • "Yeah well, I've died like, twice and I'm still kicking. I won't die on you, Sarah. I'm not going anywhere. Did I get overly attached to you considering we just met? Maybe, but I don't care. I care about you and want to share this burden. Please, give it to me before you die. I'll hold it while you heal." He pleaded her to let him help.

  • She was reluctant, but she agreeed, "It'll.. attack you," she warned. She would've gestured for him to come take if she had the strength. But she looked like she was about to collapse. All the pressure must have hurt.

  • Bedlam got down to her position and began to lift up as much weight as he could so Sarah wouldn't have to. "I'll be fine...hopefully." He chuckled, smiling as always.

  • It went off of her, and she collapsed. He took the weight. It pressured down on him, stirring his worst memories, and showing him her worst. Between those flashes it showed her current state. After the 7th or 8th she had started to glow, her wounds starting to heal.

  • Seeing the horrible memories of them both combined seemed to stir him up, causing him to push it up until he was up on one knee. "Damn...I'm such an *sshole..." Despite what was flashing in his mind he managed to weakly laugh.

More of her memories were brought into the mix. Recalling many bad thing that happened to her. When he saw her collapsed form again, it was still glowing. Her form in this mindscape was also larger, as of him taking off the burden was giving her time to grow stronger.

  • "Y'know..." He managed to stand up, holding the weight with his arms and back. "...I wouldn't mind giving you some happy memories to offset these bad ones I'm seeing."

  • "Ah, you're finally awake. Almost fully healed? That's awesome. I'm glad I could help here. Gotta say, the memories were starting to make me a tad depressed." He shrugged and joked. "Seriously, let me give you some better memories because these bum me out."
