In walked Star, the 5'4" professional athlete. She scurried in, her short brown hair in a bit of a mess. The woman's features were very beautifully feminine, but her slim muscle showed some strength behind the beauty. Her grey shorts went down to a little above half way down her thigh, tight against her skin and her shirt was a loose tank top that was a bit small in length and exposed the bottom of her abs. "Sorry! I'm late, aren't I? My bad, I just...things happened. This is the place for learning to fight with your hands, right?"

 • Eris looked up as she saw the person come in, smiling a bit. Eris was a good deal taller than the girl, Eris herself a deal muscular and fit. She spoke kindly as the woman came in. "Yep, and it's ok. Life happens to all of us, right?" She slid a page out of the way "And yeah, a little late. It's ok though. The last class for today finished, but I'd be happy to do a bit of a private for you." She said kindly.

 • "Oh, thank you! I'll pay you extra if I have to." She sighed with relief glad to have not completely missed getting some sort of training today. "I'm guessing private lessons would cost more anyway."

 • "Don't worry, you don't have to pay extra." She said smiling a bit. "Though, before anything, do you have any experience with fighting? Martial arts, boxing, anything? If you don't want to say the reason, don't worry, you don't have to." She said, knowing that feeling for herself.

 • "I know a small amount of melee combat, but all of it is based off having a weapon. I'd like to learn how to actually punch something correctly." She stood straight with her hands by her sides, ready to go.

 • "Alright. Here, come here and put some gear on." She said, as she asked over to the center of the room. She had gestured to some of the gear like that she had worn, not taking it off herself yet. The arm coverings could only be seen on the upper arms and her upper legs due to the gear as she waited for Star to put on her own.

 • Star went over and quickly strapped on the gear, smiling afterwards and knocking on it. "Nice. I guess safety first, eh?"

 • The gear was decent quality, durable but also somewhat comfortable. There was a set that was a decent size for Star there fortunately. "Yeah. Just having opened this place recently, don't want to have someone suing me over a broken jaw." She said jokingly, laughing a bit

 • "Makes sense." Star laughed a little alongside her. "Probably could just have people sign waivers, y'know."

 • "Yeah, but that's not going to stop people from hiring lawyers, and I don't have much legal experience." She said, as she waved her hand, brushing off the topic "Anyways, let's start on the basics. Let's see your stance." She said, seeing how her partner would stand for fighting so she could correct things

 • Star got into a "meh" stance. She was balanced pretty well, but her arms weren't raised enough to cover her her face and her legs could probably be closer together. "Like this?"

 • It was a start. Eris looked it over, seeing some of the flaws as she spoke. "Alright. Not bad, though there's a few things to fix. As dumb as it seems, a good stance can help a fight a good few times." She said. She moved a sshe spoke "Firstly, hands. Hands should be up by your face, just high enough so you can see over your front hand." She took the position as she stated. "It let's you be able to block anywhere you need to." "Also, body. Your body should be turned to the side. Facing your opponent straight on makes you a bigger target, and easier to hit." She said, doing the same actions.

 • Star watched Eris and moved a bit to fit the stance she had shown. She raised her hands and moved her legs to perfectly replicate Eris. "Better?"

 • "Yep. Also, legs should be shoulder width, jest helps with balance and movement." She said, flowing into the next topic. "Speaking of movement, you don't want to stand still. Good way to get hit." She said, as she began bouncing a little bit. Not enough to be jumping but bouncing only a little off the ground "Bouncing a bit helps keep you on the move, able to do dodge or strike whenever you see an opening."

 • Star began to bounce with Eris, copying every move to the point. Her eyes shined a bright blue as she did. "Okay...."

 • "Wow. You pick this up pretty fast." She said happily. She was surprised Star didn't have some experience "Alright, basic techniques. Now, a jab it great to make your opponents move. A simple fast punch." She said, throwing a jab next to Star with her lead hand. "It's good to make our opponent block where you want so you can hit them with something else."

 • Star replicated the jab Eris threw perfectly with a grin. "This isn't so bad so far, but that's probably because of how basic it is, huh?"

 • "Yep. Then again, the basics will save your ass in a fight usually. Most of the time just looking like you can fight will do the job." She said, smiling. She moved onto the next technique. "Alright, a jab is a good distraction but won't hurt to much. That's what a cross punch is for." She said, firing a back handed punch like a boxer would. There was clearly a good deal more power behind it. "This is going to hurt a good deal more than a jab. I'd generally aim this near the jaw or throat for a knockout hopefully."

 • Star kept copying Eris, throwing the cross punch. "Alright, I got it...."

 • "Alright. How about some kicks?" She said, bringing her hands up again. "A simple front kick is a pretty useful move. Remember not to point your toes though, it's a very, very easy way to break them, which isn't a fun time." She said, laughing a bit. She throws one of the kicks, clearly striking with the ball of her hood, of a target had been in front of her it would've been hurting bad. She clearly had some strength behind her.

 • Star took a deep breath before repeating what Eris had shown her, keeping her toes uncurled and hitting with the ball of her foot. "Woo! This is getting fun." She bounced around a little.

 • "Most people don't call the besides fun, really. Then again, you need to learn the beaux moves before you can get to the advanced stuff." She says. As Star kicked, Eris moved around, checking the stance. He pushed Star's arms up a little, as they dropped a bit as she kicked. Happened to most people

 • "Thanks. When do we get to grappling stuff? The striking seems rather simple." Star chained two jabs, a cross, and then another jab perfectly. "Let's go!"

 • "Grappling isn't too difficult either once you get the idea down. Remember, it's not about looking fancy. You're always just using your opponents own body against them. I'll show you a few basic ones, if you'd be so kind as to throw a punch at me." She said. She stood their in a stance, ready for the attack.

 • "Alright." Star threw a simple punch at Eris.

 • Eris moved fast. Not fast enough the motions were a blur, but to show the practiced ease. With her front hand she patted the Fist to the side, the other hand grabbing the wrist. She rotates Star's arm so the elbow pointed up, pressing gently with her own arm on it. It would force star to bend her body at an angle, making it impossible to throw another technique. "An armbar is a pretty basic way to get into any grapple. From here if I wanted to, I could sweep your leg and have you on the ground, break your arm, put it behind you like a police hold, or any other manner of techniques."
