The electricity being flashed was enough to put the soldiers on edge, thanks to the factor that they were wearing primarily metallic armoring. But with Ainsley's first feint, his opponent would simply bring his shield that side, before putting it out again to block the man's thrown fist. Ainsley would hit wood, while the soldier would then bring his sword up. He ensured that the blade was facing away before swinging, then, as the weapon came towards Ainsley's cheek. A sword bitchslap, perhaps.

  • Ainsley was on his toes, and was ready for his opponent’s attack the moment his fist had hit the shield. Reading his body language, Ainsley would do a quick duck to avoid the blade slap that was aimed rather high, before throwing a punch with his left hand. The punch was aimed at the metal armor underneath his opponent’s raised right arm, goal being to use his electricity to his advantage.

  • The punch would succeed, as electricity quickly swarmed through the soldier, as underneath the helm he would yell out in sudden shock and stumble backwards, falling onto the ground in sudden, sharp pain. Another warrior would come into the fray, this one with a spear, as the second fighter from before would circle Ainsley. Soon, the fighting kicked in again, as the fighter approached, shield raised as he thrusted towards Ainsley's stomach. And from the right side, the spearhead came, aimed for Ainsley's shin.

  • “Ohooo shit!” Ainsley yelped as he jumped back and to the side, barely managing to avoid the two attacks. He began circling now towards the one with the spear, keeping the other fighting behind the spear dude cuz exclusion lol

  • "Dodging bаstard, you!" The spearman would yell out, brushing past his comrade with ease as he tightly clasped his polearm. "First you electrocute Gregory, then you think you can get away with it- I don't THINK so-" The warrior would thrust again, this time aiming to hit Ainsley in the stomach while his comrade came from his left.

  • Ainsley grinned; the thrill of combat never failed to excite him, despite the rather... dire situation at hand. He sidestepped left once more, to the spearman’s right, managing to avoid the attack primarily due to them coming from the same direction. The only difference was that this time, Ainsley grabbed onto the (presumably) metal spear’s pole with his right hand, sending electricity coursing through its material, hoping it would be conductive.

  • Well, shit. The shaft of the spear was not metal, but instead stiff wood. If anything, the electricity would conduct into the spearhead, though that would be minuscule, not doing much damage if any. I guess that's how it would work. Since the dudebro's got leather gauntlets (is leather a conducter? Fuсk if I know) and the dudebro Ainsley touched wood.

Ainsley cursed at himself for apparently not being able to tell the difference between wood and metal, nor seeing the insulting gloves on the dudebro’s hands. He quickly tried to make up for lost time by continuously gripping the spear so it would be more difficult to impale him with it as he attempted to punch the metal chestplate of the spearwielder, once again charging his punch up with whatever electricity he could muster.
