[i]The convoy would eventually come to a halt, as two of it's passengers would head inside, accompanied by guards. The only people that didn't head in were the wagon's masters, and two young adults..[/i]

[i]A male and a female, looking aa if they were a pair of arguing twins. Their hair was combed, yet maintaining a silver glare, the girl's hair reaching down to her shoulders. Both wore purple and white uniforms, and were unarmed as well. They seemed important.. but they weren't, either.[/i]

"-its also a gun." Rose grinned, setting the butt of the spear against the ground as she beamed at Niki. The girl being clueless was amusing to her. "Now, shouldn't we get along to get that metal?" As much as Rose hated to ruin the moment, she was eager to experiment with her newfound ability.

"...um.. sure. I'll see what I can do.." [i]Niki motioned for Rose to follow her to the armory, knocking on the wooden counter to draw the smith's attention. The smith was a burly man, old, yet seemed to be doing well for his age. Tattoos were strewn across his muscled arms, as soft brown eyes would lay upon the bаstard girl.[/i] "[b]Mornin', Silver. Where's Gold, trainin'?[/b]" "I think he is, or vying for the attention of that Guardian girl.. Oliver's crazy for her. ...I need a sheet of steel. For my friend here." "[b]...I serve weapons 'n armor to thee. You'll hafta pay, metal ain't cheap.[/b]" "Can I pay you back when we get back to Trayve?" "[b]Nope. Right 'ere 'n now, lass. Sorry.[/b]" "You know what Isabella would do-" "[b]If I denied ya rightful services, I know. She beat a smithie into the ground when he refused 'er, I know. Dumb ol' Morgen.. hold on.[/b]" [i]The old smith sighed, before returning with a heavy sheet of steel. Niki smiled a little, bowing towards him.[/i] "[b]Don't tell Freya. Why'd you need it?[/b]" "Magic stuff." "[b]...Please. Stay safe.[/b]" [i]As Niki handed the sheet to Rose, she smiled, as the smith went back to his work.[/i] "I hate to.. to threaten like that, if that was a threat. But Isabella.. she'd do a lot for me. She's always been surprisingly good to me."

"Isabella is family, I guess?" Rose hefted it, warping it into a more manageable, a solid bar for now. If Isabella was family to Niki, then it would kill Rose to see Niki suffer. But Isabella, there was no mistake about it. That sadistic woman needed to go... "Sorry if its prying, just curious." She tried to play it off for now, glancing to Niki.

"She is. Arthur was always too busy with Oliver.. Freya hated me for outsmarting her at times. Julian.. Julian tried to be nice, but failed. And my father, Armillion.. at the parties and celebrations, he just let people call me things. "Bаstard", "devil child".. ...Isabella never let them, though. The insults fell silent when she entered. She'd take me up to my room, we'd chat.. then she'd check up on me, every now and then." [i]Niki sighed, staring at the ground before meeting Rose's gaze.[/i] "...Bella's always loved family.. more than anything. She's terrible to enemies, and vulgar, and bullying, but.. she cared, when nobody else other than Oliver and Julian did. Oliver because he understood, Julian because that's the type of person he is. ...I'm happy that you care, though. Thank you, for that."

Rose tried to keep her face from losing color, once it was that Niki looked away, Rose went ghost white, as her mind flurried to try and make sense of it. What of her friends? She was there to do them justice, but she was falling for Niki, and she didn't want to hurt the woman... No, don't think on it, later she would. She tried to calm down, her heart racing now as she nodded to the blacksmith, and then spoke. "She sounds nice, although the way she handles situations with people she doesn't like..." She sighed. God forbid Bella caught Rose.

"...She broke that girl." [i]Niki stared out at Ross, shaking her head. She quivered a little, her breaths shaky.[/i] "...S-She began with her friends first. Then her. The sawing was first. The branding was.. oh, gods.. ...Rose, I don't.. I don't know. Can I.. can I save them from that fate? S-Should I-I tell h-her.. T-They're just thieves, Rose, t-they don't deserve that.." [i]Rose had better bring Niki into a spot that was private, and quickly. The mage girl had begun to hyperventilate, sharp breaths escaping her lips, her knuckles going white from how tightly she gripped her hands.[/i]

Rose noticed her situation, and then motioned to follow, dragging Niki back to the mage's tent. She could understand, the way Isabella was, Rose was the one who bore witness to the results... Once at the mage's tent, she set the metal down, and closed off the entrance, sitting Niki down and then sitting next to her. "Alright, go ahead. I don't want you to lose it in public..." Rose watched Niki then, waiting.

"S-She flayed them.. s-she.. my own sister, she murdered them.. murdered, Rose..!" [i]A few seconds later, Niki had descended into sobbing silently. Her light green eyes stared out at nothingness, her expression.. blank, waves of tears falling from her shaking face.[/i] "...I-I'm so sorry." [i]Niki would look at Rose, blushing a mad red color. She held her hands together, sobbing silently to herself as she shook in place.[/i]

Rose reached forward, and brought Niki into an embrace, hugging the shaking woman. She saw the end results and knew it wasn't pretty. But to see it happen must have been worse. She hoped hugging Niki was the right thing to do though, as she wanted to help the girl, even if it meant in the end it wouldn't end well. "Its alright, Niki. Its alright..." It was all she could mutter, Rose's own face going white and blank, not knowing how to handle the situation.

[i]Hugging Niki actually did calm her down, as she let it all out into Rose's shoulder. She simply sat there for a few minutes, sobbing continuously in her breakdown as her arms were kept around Rose's body.[/i] [i]After a few minutes, she simply fell quiet, her shaky breaths being all that left her body. A few breaths would be followed by uncomfortable sighs, as Niki broke away from the hug, arms still kept on Rose.[/i] "...you didn't have to.. to care so much. But.. ...Thank you. I've only cried to.. to her. I just.. I just don't know.. what I can do to save their lives.."

Rose kept her own arms on Niki's hips, a unintentional but probably decent move. She didn't know what to say, but spoke anyways. "Try talking to her? I know it may not be the best thing, she seems invested in tradition..." Rose let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, hardly know her, so I can't really help."

[i]The hip move made Niki.. blush a little, though she did feel a little better with Rose doing it. She blushed a little, though she would nod quietly.[/i] "...I can try. Maybe she'll.. tone down. Maybe. Focus on.. helping people. Helping our effort. Helping us." [i]"Us" was a unique term to use in such a situation. Niki had already considered Rose amongst her ranks.[/i]

Rose relaxed a bit, good, so now she could slowly discern the limits so far with Niki, but she didn't want to keep pushing them. Nodding as well then. "Then there's a plan of action, now its just having to talk to her. She won't listen to me, but she will listen to you. And I know you can do this." Trying to be supportive now, she waited for an answer, watching Niki with worried eyes.

"...I can try." [i]Having small bursts of confidence was one of Niki's more prominent mental strengths, or at least when she needed it most. She thought and thought, managing a soft smile through falling tears.[/i] "I.. I can talk to her. You're right, she'd listen.. she'd change.. Right?" [i]Niki was hoping for a positive answer. From what Rose could tell, it would take more than a little sister explaining her troubles to stop the imprisonment. Perhaps it would stop the torture, though.[/i]

"She would, yeah. I think she would, but you'll have to try anyways." She nodded again, more enthusiastic now. This was good, Niki was looking better now, and was talking herself out of that state she was in.

"I hope.. ...gods, how.. how should I thank you? The rune stuff and the metal were both just.. physical things. But you.. you truly helped me there.. how can I repay that? I'm sorry, if I'm being awkward. I'm not.. regularly close to people." [i]Niki would blush a pinkish color, though still smiling still.[/i]

"You don't need too. Unless you count dinner sometime? But for now, you don't have too. Just focus on what you want to do, and talk to Isabella." Rose smirked then, hoping Niki would catch her drift...

"...I'd love dinner, actually." [i]Niki shrugged a little, smiling at Rose a little.[/i] "I should get dressed, though. Robes aren't.. preferable, in public."

"I dress like a heathen and pass by just fine, but whatever suits you." Rose beamed then, surprised her little quip had actually worked.

((Timeskiperino)) "Haha.. that was fun. Really, really fun." [i]Niki laughed a little, her hands kept in her pockets after the two had exited the restaurant. She had looked pretty, yet.. simple, too. A white gambeson with silver buttons covered her being, accompanied by grey pants and a pair of tanned, soft shoes. She kept her hair tied back in a ponytail, for the date.[/i]

Rose wasn't one for fancy dresses and the like, but did dress normally this time around. More casual in attire than anything, jeans and a button down shirt, her usual boots though she wore. Glancing to Niki, she grinned, happy she could please the mage. "I try my best to please, and even then I know you could use something like this." She leaned on one foot then, crossing her arms as she soaked in the moment.

"Yeah.. thanks for that, too." [i]As if feeling a little more comfortable, Niki offered for Rose to come over to her, as she sat down on a bench. She rested her right arm on the back of the wooden bench, smiling at the woman.[/i] "I think that we should.. talk a little. Just.. just cause."

Rose welcomed the notion, sitting next to Niki on the bench. Whatever it was the woman had in store, Rose was up for it. "Sure, what do you have in mind?" She had to ask it, even though she didn't really have too.

"Well.. you're cute. You're nice, you're.. caring. And I hope that.. well, that you think the same as I do, except about me. ...Ugh, I think I worded that wrong.. point is, I.. I'd like to keep doing stuff like this, you know? Have.. more than just a friend to hang around with. A girlfriend. Knowing that she'd help me and protect me if needed. So.. well, should I even have to ask?" [i]Niki smiled a little, shrugging in her subtle, cute manner once again.[/i]

Rose's face turned a ruby red color, matching her namesake as she broke into a wide grin then. She spoke, sounding overly giddy. "I was waiting for you to ask that, or me ask. Whichever. Just; yes, Niki. Yes!" She nearly squealed, the bandit girl unable to contain herself.
