“If you wouldn’t mind the trouble,” Ainsley replied gratefully, stepping back from the desk.

 • "No trouble at all." She said, as she stood up from the desk. She moved over to the center of the room. "Here, go put on a set of the training gear over there." She pointed to it as she spoke.

 • “Aye aye.” Ainsley walked over to the pile of training gear, quickly putting whatever set seemed his size on before turning towards Eris.

 • The set fit well, attractive by with Velcro straps as he put it on. It seemed to be good quality: durable but somewhat comfortable. "So, let's just check out a few basic things first. Show me your stance." She said, testing for Ainsley to approach

 • He nodded, before entering his usual fighting stance. His knees were slightly bent while his arms were raised in front of his torso. His body faced diagonally to his right, with his left arm more forward than his right arm, which was in front of his chest. It a very natural stance for him, and he was clearly very used to it.

 • "That's pretty good. I'd spread your legs a little bit, shoulder width just for a bit more balance but otherwise the stance is a decent one." She said as she moved around him, looking for minor flaws.

 • He did as Eris instructed, moving his feet apart to what felt comfortable. There really wasn’t much wrong with the stance itself; it was what Ainsley was comfortable with, and it worked.

 • "You seem like the type to know the basics, jabs and crosses. Show me a few if you know, just want to check and make sure there's no little mistakes. Easy to break your wrist punching someone."

 • Ainsley nodded and threw a few punches. He had the form for the punches down, from years of trial and error, but punches really seemed to be all he knew how to do. The downsides of being self taught–limited knowledge.

 • She only corrects one point really. She pointed his fist so the top two knocked struck. "Always hit with the top two knuckles. They're a lot harder to brake, and plus they give good focal points for the force." She said, but otherwise she was impressed by the punches. "How are you with kicks?"

 • “Generally, I use brass knuckles when I fight, but I’ll do that when I’m caught without ‘em. Kicks? Er... okay.” He threw a kick with his right leg, foot pointed sideways. He clearly was’t used to kicking. “I don’t do kicks much, because the people I fought always seems to catch my foot mid-kick and send me sprawling.”

 • "The thing about a kick not many realize is not to leave it out there. It's a quick strike, just like a punch." She said. She threw a simple front kick, very fast. "Plus, throwing one move only isn't usually a good idea. Following a punch up with a kick is usually the best plan." She threw the front kick again, breaking it down. "Remember when kicking, toes aren't pointed in a. Front kick. Good way to break them. Strike with the ball of your foot somewhere like the groin, and you can incapacitate an opponent fairly well."

 • “Right.” He threw another kick, this one more focused like a punch. It was faster, and more accurate. He was already thinking of scenarios in a fight where he’d be comfortable putting kicks in.

 • "Good. The key is to not let someone know it's coming. Distract them with something else, and fakes are very useful for that reason. Just show them enough to get them to move..." She said, raising her knee quickly as if she were to throw a kick, before firing a cross instead. "And you'll be able to do some damage."
