I'll be honest. I stuck with two games for years because of this.
I'll be honest. They both destroyed their playerbase by ignoring the entirety of the community.
I'll be honest. They both turned to reddit to listen to their users because official forums are almost always garbage and ignored entirely by the developers.
I'll be honest. Neither game improved and both are aiming for money grabs on new players.
I played about 10 hours of D1 at a friends house. I am playing D2. The games seem 100% identical except this one has a map (which doesn't open to your heroes location), and this one has a story.
I have no method of ingame communication with other players. Mic or chat. I have all my settings to 'Enabled' or 'Open'. Lack of player to player communication is an instant failure. I thought they learned that with D1? I played 16 hours solo, I have a local friend who plays a few hours here and there. Destiny web app is pretty mucky, Discord seems the best of everything communicatively atm. Is D2 D2? Or just D1 with a few sparce new features?

"lack of player to player communication" I played 2 years of D1 solo because I didn't know about the forums. The last big multi-player game I played was Halo 3 and there were always people talking. Idk why Bungie doesn't want players to communicate in-game but it's very detrimental to the game. Probably the reason so few people have beaten a raid is because the game lacks the in-game communication that (I thought) was standard.
