Watching her was the monk, known as Xiong, whom was meditating whilst she had done her practice. Pleased with her beginning to somewhat improve, Xiong stood up, and, using his bo staff similar to a cane, walked over to Natalie.
“Very impressive use of the ground to your advantage.” He had told Natalie.

“Hm...” was his thought. He seemed like a figure that meant to cause confusion...mostly because he seemed very distant. “Breaking it will help in various interests, but it is my belief that you can’t simply learn to ‘break the ground’? What happens if the enemy happens to sidestep, or perhaps survive?” He had asked Nat, showing his bo with its 4 buttons.
