Natalie "Nat" Elidan
"Breathe. Five seconds in, three seconds out. Repeat it. Feel it. Feel the heavy breaths, feel the weight behind them. Feel it pull them down on your lungs like rocks."
Natalie's hand guided the staff in her hand. She felt the weapon running along the length of her arm, across her back. She saw the head of it pointed at the tree downwind from her, the glowing purple crystal staring at the bark like a dog stared down a treat. She saw the tree restlessly rustle, the leaves falling gracefully onto the grassy ground below them. It was calming, a state much like a trance that she put herself into. The tree shook violently as it slipped out of the ground, snaking it's roots up and into the air above it. Then with a spin of her staff, Natalie brought it to the front side of her person and sent the tree flying somewhere behind her. It skidded to a halt on the ground maybe fifteen feet away, and she held the staff with either hand now. The power in her weapon felt living, it felt strong. She lifted it once more and sent it flying into the air now, like an eagle soaring high. It hit an eagle, funnily enough, which made Natalie laugh at the comparison. The tree came crashing down to earth a moment later although a burst of energy knocked it off the path, sending it flying outwards and away from Nat like a baseball when hit by a big, invisible bat. "Dude we probably know your employers commonly. Is it the Trayvens? That cowboy? Dojo?"
-
"Charles White. C-Can we not talk about this? Thank you, Natalie."
-
"Never heard of him. And alright."
-
Traci's mood got a bit better from dropping the subject. "Great! Hey, do you need to use that staff to use the magic? Ooh! Ooh! Could you make me fly?"
-
"No I don't, and yes I can." Natalie extended her free hand to Traci and curled her fingers into a ball. She rose as the fingers did, and came closer to Nat as the fingers came inwards. She pushed the woman away and raised her up into the air, before settling Traci on the ground again and releasing her from the gravitational grip.
-
"Oh my gods that's amazing!!!" Traci jumped up and down with excitement, large smile on her face and skirt fluttering. "Do it again!"
-
"How high do you want to go?"
-
"....How high can I go?!" Traci stepped up to Natalie, inches away from the woman's face and beaming.
-
"A few feet away from me, for starters. Personal space."
-
"Oh...right. Sorry." Traci backed off with an apologetic smile.
-
"No worries. Now I can get you pretty high up, not into the stratosphere or anything crazy though."
-
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She jumped some more. "You're the best!"
-
And as she jumped, Traci would suddenly fly up about thirty feet into the air and remain there.
-
"Wohoo! I'm like, supergirl or something! Wait, can people see up my skirt? Oh well, this is too fun." Traci laughed as she was lifted into the air.
-
Nat decided to have some fun with this. She made little rings of leaves and grass for Traci, and flew the woman through them in a loop of five rings, each a few meters apart.
-
Traci couldn't stop laughing and smiling as she flew. "Yaa! Keep it going!"
-
Nat couldn't use her fingers to control individual limbs, since it would require blood magic. But she did manage to create small blasts of telekinesis by her legs, sending her in circles occasionally.
-
"Wooohoooo!!" Traci happily flipped and did all kinds of posing as she went.
-
Nat would keep her suspended there for a good half of an hour, though eventually she got slightly fatigued from all the magic use and let her down to the ground safely.
-
Traci ran up and hugged Natalie with a giggle. "You're the absolute best."
-
Natalie braced herself for the imminent impact by making her gravitational pull much, much denser than that of most people during the collision, though she recoiled slightly to make it not hurt for Traci hitting her. She returned it to normal and gave a friendly hug back.
-
"Oh we have to do that again! So awesome!" Traci let go and backed off. "Sorry, personal space."
-
"Ah go ahead, I don't mind hugs too much."
-
She hugged her again. "Thank you!"
-
"No problem."
