[i]Indeed, the bow that had been generated by Mion's wristband would catch the suddenly sparking interest of her fellow mage, as Niki would keep kneeling, yet she stared upon the bow of light that had seemingly been born into the world, clutched within Mion's thin little hand. The simple lime pupils of her eyes almost widened, as she would reach out to touch the bow's riser. Though her hand would draw back, instead simply resting upon her thigh.[/i]
"I suppose that it wouldn't be a great idea for me to touch the bow.. what can the other wristbands do? If you don't mind telling me, of course."

The one last thing I can do is create concussive explosives." [i]They were a peculiar set of abilities, but they were useful in their own ways nonetheless. Niki's attention would be brought to Mion's hood however, as a tuft of white hair was seen hanging down the left side of her forehead.[/i]

"That's quite a lot, with how.. young, you seem." [i]The older of the two would murmur quietly, before her hand would reach out, feeling the tuft of white hair in silence. Her eyes widened a little, as she would look back and forth, sighing.[/i] "If you're.. y'know, a girl.. you can take off the hood. If you.. feel comfortable. I had my thoughts, but.."

"H-hey, what are you-?!" [i]Mion would gasp in surprise as Niki touched a tuft of her hair. The girl would push away the hand, taking a few steps back and staring at the soldier. She would then attempt to hastily tuck back the tuft back into her hood, while still keeping her eyes on the soldier. After that, Mion just felt... uncertain. Should she really show her face to them? She contemplated this question for a moment before giving in, sighing and lifting her hands to her hood to throw it back. It revealed to Niki a young teen, somewhere around 12. Mion's hair had become slightly messy because of being under the hood, some bangs covering her ears and forehead. Feeling this, the girl removed her ponytail holder, revealing that her snowy white hair could extend down her back.[/i] "...do you want me to say my name to you as well? Seeing that I've already shown my face to you."

"I knew that you were young, but.." [i]In reality, Niki had hoped for just a small teenager to have been Mion. But she was.. younger, than she hoped. Niki went silent for a few seconds, before a soft sigh would then leave her lips.[/i] "I don't demand a name, but.. I will care for you, nonetheless. Freya would kill me, but.. tell people that you're at least fourteen. Please?"

"Alright, if that's what you want. I can understand if you want me to lie about my age." [i]Mion would then start to rearrange her hair, smoothing them down before tying them into a ponytail again.[/i] "So like I said before, I'll try to help with what I can... What do you want me to do?"

"...You'll be my assistant, for some time. If you don't mind. Basic things.. utility, if anything. Your youthfulness will hopefully be kept secret, as unlikely as that might be.." [i]Niki would sigh, nodding to herself with a certain silence.[/i] "I can get you fed, and keep you safe if.. anything happens."

[i]Mion only silently nodded to that, accepting Niki's conditions. She didn't mind only running a few errands and things like that, if they were that simple. After that, the girl would adjust her ponytail so that she would put on her hood again, so that nobody was able to see what age she was anymore. She tugged at the edges of her hood to better conceal her face, then she lowered her hands to her sides.[/i]

[i]Niki would kneel down so that she could inspect away at the child before her. She silently pointed out the successes and flaws in her mind, and to be quite honest, Mion had done the best that she could have done in order to conceal her identity.[/i] "I think that you'll be alright. But, if anyone decides to ask, well.." [i]Niki would dig through the pockets of her robing, before prying out a copper pin. Upon it's metal surface was an "X", nothing more. She would pin it onto Mion's jacket, nodding a little.[/i] "There. You should fit in well."

[i]Mion would look in curiosity at the metal pin, raising her hand slightly towards it. Her fingers would come close to touching it before just hovering there, pulling her hand away before gently lowering her arm.[/i] "Um... what does it do? What does it mean?"

"It marks you as an assistant, dear. Men and women will respect you as one of their own. Think of yourself as.. my pupil. Which does remind me. I could.. teach you a few things. A few magic things, here and there. Interested?" [i]Niki smiled, still kneeling for Mion. It was so the child wasn't forced to look up for a time, really.[/i]

[i]Mion would gaze at Niki's face, thinking over the fact that she could receive some magic training. Now that she thought about it, perhaps her bracelets were focal points to her abilities, channelling her crystal's power into what came out of those bracelets.[/i] "Well... I guess I can take you up on your offer." [i]Mion replied, nodding once.[/i]

"Alright.. we'll begin with the basic things later on. I'm a little busy with some things.. but you're free to do whatever you please. Oh, and you can take my bed in my tent. I.. prefer the chair." [i]Niki would finally stand up on her feet, sighing as she would then motion for Mion to follow her back to her tent. It was an idea to show her around her tent and ensure that she was comfortable with settling down.[/i]

[i]Mion would just follow along wordlessly, walking behind Niki so that she was a tail's length behind her. She would observe everything around her as she walked.[/i] "So... what does your tent look like? I could imagine it to be simplistic, in a way."
