"Well, despite their problems and issues, I hope they know I love them as much as I do their siblings. I let each of my children live their own lives, sometimes even helping them along when they need it."
She nods, taking a slightly bigger sip.
"I know my first children, triplet sisters, let me tell you, they were a handful.
I had them with my first husband, whose name shall never be uttered again lest he be brought to this plane of existence and wipe you mortals out.
Since they were born of a god, little 'g' that is, they were goddesses in their own right. Now they manage their universe-cluster's 'Darkness' powers and realm. Neat huh? I'm really proud of them."

"Damn, better than any of my degenerates."
-
"Of course I have had some bad apples." She takes a gulp this time, pouring herself some more. "Some tried to challenge me for my power, being brought up by jealous people or thought that somehow killing me would make them all-powerful. Others have used their power to rule worlds, others to end them. It's not even close to easy being a mother."

"...Alright, your degenerates win, it seems."

"At least your kids don't live as long as you might. I have to deal with some of them for far too long."
-
"I still got another 120 years until my brain goes. Assuming my kids took after the mother's, then I'll outlive them. That is NOT a thing any parent wants to have happen."
-
"With your drinking habits you might not outlive them!" Shadow chuckled, taking a draw from the bottle. "That coming from me though..."

"I've got biological immunity. Now the hôes though, that's the real issue. Don't know when ones gonna pull a knife in my sleep."

"I just usually say 'kinky' and strangle them." Her head hits the bar as her eyes focus on the bottle in front of her. "Well, I've reached my limit for this week. I got to get back to the Fleet. Got an invasion to oversee, after all." Shadow chuckles darkly as she stands up slowly, putting away the glowing bottle. "Take care, alright? I don't want to see you dead yet at least for a few hundred years."
-
"Biologically I ain't gonna last that long, but same goes t'you."

She picks up her sombrero, placing it on her head with a sense of finality. "Double dog dare you to live that long out of sheer spite." With a wide grin, she leaps into a portal. The bridge of a starship shows for a few seconds. Through the viewports at the front of the bridge, JT can see numerous shining warships floating in the ocean of space. A planet gives the scene backdrop as Shadow gives a final wave goodbye. The portal closes, leaving only a faint smell of recycled air to show it was there.
