[PC] Can we please get region, local, zone, etc CHAT :(

It's horrible to be doing a public even and not be able to communicate with the people around you to convey to them how to do turn it into a Heroic, or to ask anyone if the want to fireteam up to do more events together or just talk to the people around you... I want to play with random people and not have to go out into a website and sit around trying to form a fireteam in discord or wherever when I could just chat in the tower and get a group faster. So Bungie, you release this on PC and leave a crucial thing like global/region/zone chat out, not cool.

  • 110% agree. I'm a big MMO player, and sure, the console players will tell you it's not an mmo. And for the most part, they're right. But it has MMO elements. It has raids. It has social hubs with a bunch of people running around. But why bother having these hubs, why bother having clans, if there's no effective way to communicate with anyone. And I shouldn't have to tab out or open up my damn phone just to waste time looking for a fireteam when there are twenty to thirty people all running around the hubs. And to those who say "HELL NAW DAWG, CHAT OPTIONS ARE A BAD IDEA." Turn them off then. Simple. The rest of us, and I'd wager it's a high number or players, want this communication in place so we can actually be more social in the game. As much as I'd love to run around the hub dancing to everyone and hoping to make friends from it, I feel a chat channel I can slap up "Anyone down to farm some strikes" will probably do better.
