*AND HIS TEAM So everyone remember Chris? That emo dude with nice shoes from House of Wolves and then Rise of Iron. Well, basically, in my opinion, he was one of the developers that started to make D1 a better game. House of Wolves was (again in my opinion) the start of the turning point for the fundamental changes D1 would go through, for the better. Sir Barrett blesses us once again. All hail the king. New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits. Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities. Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors. Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018). Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules. Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games). Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards. Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful. Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication. New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards). An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.   There's more we're working on. We'll talk again soon.  -Barrett

  • tbh all this should of been in the game from the start , most players are now 305 or very near it , i realised on day 1 that all the tokens you get will become pretty pointless as you rank up. theres no point doing strikes or raids , theres no strike guns no grind to get the god roll guns or gear the rewards from doing strikes is woeful there just not worth doing. "what makes my 10th better devils better than my first one , this is a question we are looking at" - luke smith , this is a question that shouldnt of come up in the first place , "we have ideas that might not make it into the finished game"- again luke smith , so you have had 3 yrs and all you have done is copy and paste and its still not finished ?. i have done a few strikes and as i said there not worth doing theres no reward other than a few tokens that are now useless the same applies to the nightfall as for the raids well the guys i game with have all but stopped playing the game , after you have dome reset day its not worth playing. exotics are falling like rain i get 2 or 3 a day on each class just by doing public events or crucible and why are we getting old guns from D1 ? , im waiting for the gally and icebreaker to return under the heading of "you the fans asked for them and here we are giving them to you see we heard you arnt we good". i feel that all the updates are to little to late , it feels like everything they learned in D1 has been thrown out of the window and the game was rushed out to avoid handing the company to activision and has had very little play testing if any at all or all the problems would of been noticed earlier , either that or they were ignored in the rush to get the game out under the heading of we will stick a plaster on it later. the guns are reskins the gun sounds are copy and paste exotics copy and paste for every new exotic added they brought back 2 from D1. theres a lot of questions about D2 that shouldnt need to be asked after 3 years and 1000 ppl working on it , and i dont think it will bring back the players the game has lost.
