Honest question to the fans. Do you honestly think the live team can deliver these changes and on a decent time line?

  • [quote]Honest question to the fans. • To be honest I have my doubts. DeeJ stated the live team won't have it's first release until the Dawning. Now that ran from Mid Dec-Mid Jan. Problem is that's when the first dlc drops and I doubt they will do both at the same time. Maybe they will drop it earlier but it sounds like a lot of work so it will likely be later, especially if they are changing the loot economy.

  • They'll absolutely drop it at the same time, patches cost money, it'll drop on Dec 5th. They've already stated all pre order stuff will be added to the game on the 5th Dec, and they have Xmas hols from 10th Dec until 20th Jan. Nothing will happen from 10th Dec unless it's game breaking, until prob feb

  • As a Guardian, I believe that Bungie will do what needs to be done when it needs to be done.

  • And as a humane I know they don't have a clue when it comes to Destiny 2.

  • Nope... Bungie have become experts over the years in rationing reduced sub-standard content to keep its existing player base negatively engaged while modifying the overall Destiny II experience to attract new casual rats into the Skinner box... Although i have respect for Chris Barrett regarding his involvement in past DLC's, it simply feels that Bungie are reinstating aspects of Destiny 1 into their current product...And it appears the player base are "Thankful" for the possibility of the recycled content which is a really sad state of affairs. Many of us have seen our clan mates and friends drop off from playing Destiny in droves...not just because the sheer lack of content, but also because they have lost the trust and respect they had for the game developer. Myself & clan mates last evening while in group chat came to the conclusion that we only sign in simply to catch-up with each other and have a laugh over comms, if this has become the sole reason to play Destiny then the game has become completely redundant...so we all made a conscious decision to all download the free game "Warframe" for the weekend. We can still have a laugh while gaming on something we actually enjoy and didn't pay for. Destiny II will become nothing more then a revamp of the original, just with slightly better graphics...and that's nothing for gamers to be happy or especially thankful about.

  • Well, they did everything after Taken King and I enjoyed that, so I'll give them a chance. I already bought the DLC off of hype, so I'll try them.

  • Bungie is stingy with pve game content. Why weren't we given 100 quests at launch? Why weren't we given the ability to choose the difficulty level for missions or adventure or lost sectors. They have all these cool races in Destiny 2 but no loot drops that pertain to any of them. I was expecting something totally different on launch day and it wasn't this. Midas quest Strum quest IO quest Rat King Uhh that's really cheap and petty. There should have been at least 20 quest or something. And have exotic mods man. Give me the ability to change to perks on my weapons by dropping mods that have fire fly.

  • It isn't stingy, the game was remade entirely for the sequel, meaning they had to recode everything from the ground up. In two years, starting around TTK era, and since Activision forces a release every fall, production can't be at its fullest potential. Programming takes time. Absolutely not saying there aren't things that should have been in the game that were in the first, e.g. Private Matches, a good perk system, and actually being able to buy vender gear. The game feels unfinished as it stands now with a lack of content, and I personally blame 70% of it on Activision.

  • Recode everything. Lol, ok First off, lots of stuff is reskinned from D1, using the exact same code. Tractor cannon is the exact same code as a phalanx shield push/captain blast. Sentinel super is the same code as D1 Aegis from VOG. Lots of bugs and glitches that were patched in yr2 and yr3 in D1 were in the D2 beta, that's only possible if the code was copied before it was patched. Servers are the exact same, netcode is exactly the same. Returning exotics have the same code. I could go on. Did you know IO is the exact same size and shape as Mars, and Titan is almost identical to the moon? It's the exact same engine, Tiger, as D1. They said they were using a new engine but used the same one and made guns easier to balance instead so they can just change guns n not have to ticket with deeper buried code like map nodes.

  • Bungie failed at making enough content on time, thst's why Activision brought in other devs to help them.

  • Oh yeah for sure. People aren't as patient when it comes the 3rd time around, which is how they should feel. There's just a select few of us that still just play the game just to play it for fun in small doses
