It’s kinda hard to cheat in a game that you haven’t even installed yet. I was reading up on a lot of the reports, and there was quite a surprising number of players that had only gotten to the character selection screen when getting banned
Even more surprising was the number of players that only had the Blizzard app and the game installed, and still got banned
I think Bungie needs to rework their security measures. A lot of common harmless apps are getting players banned. Some of the apps are just for streaming gameplay or chatting with friends.
If Bungie wants to stay in business, I suggest they fix it before everyone leaves

So everything Bungie says is a lie, but any claim made by some punk ass streamer is the gospel truth?

Edited by Roada Rolla: 10/26/2017 4:26:17 AMYup because they did lie. Here's proof. https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/923357294628192256 If you scroll down a little after you click on the link (the link in their tweet not my link) it'll say in italicized text that a "group" (whatever that means, guess they're scared to show the figure) of players where wrongfully banned. So much for all that manual reviewing lmao.
-
So they fixed an error? Those sons of bitches.
-
So they lied dumbass. They straight up called their player base people who are just spouting "internet BS" and stated that all of the bans were fair and reviewed thoroughly. If you still can't see that then you're a shill, plain and simple.
-
Yup x1000

It's quite amazing that Bungie were apparently able to conduct a manual, thorough investigation of what these people were doing when they reached the character selection screen and then ban them. It really looks like Bungie need to rework the security measures like you say. A consultation with a good PR firm that can advise them on how to positively interact with disgruntled customers wouldn't really go amiss either.

They cheated in the Beta, took 2 months to finally get caught.
-
Theoretically possible it would be legit ban if it was a pirated copy of the game. Not defending, just offering the one thing I can think of, lol
-
Everything I read so far, was a legitimate purchase made from battle.net and Blizzard
-
Stolen credit card maybe? Lol

Bungie wouldn’t care too much about that. Money is still money
