Perhaps you find it disappointing because it’s a different experience to destiny 1 and you’re also burned out of destiny after 3k hours (too much) playing.
With a game so similar yet so different like destiny 2 it’s bound to be disappointing for really hard core destiny 1 players.

If you’ve really played halo 2 and 3 that much but didn’t play destiny 1 for as long it means you didn’t like the game as much as halo 2 and 3. If you didn’t like it as much it would make sense that a sequel would not hold your interest for very long.
