To those concerned,
Heads up.
As the poor fools who fell for the obvious trap obeyed the command, an immense hammer slammed them both to paste against the thin layer of permafrost covering the ground.
"It appears guard standards have lowered since I have left."
A figure covered by a red robe picks up the hammer by the handle with ease and flips it, only for it to vanish at the top of the arc.
The figure pushes the door open, then continues inside.

Edited by Wheatley: 10/22/2017 1:55:31 AMThey would enter a ruined foyer, light snow falling gently through the holes in the ceiling. All that remained of what the place once was were skeletons and cobwebs. Even they, as time changed and shifted, had begun to fade away "One who walks into to darkness willingly emerges on the other side as not a person, but a god. Welcome" A man, his face hidden by a slight overcast shadow, stood at the end of the foyer and in front of the entrance to the rest of the building. He had a slight British accent to him, possibly because he just thought it fitting to his taste as a person. Who knows? Whatever this was going to turn out to be, it was going to be strange indeed...

"But what does a god become, then? Something more? Or perhaps something else?" The hood was pulled down and two pale orbs framed by a fanged smirk observed the man at the end of the foyer.

"A god... well... a god becomes a constant. And a constant, my friend, becomes unbound." He gestured to the place around him, at the ruin. It was as if he saw something else in it. It was as if the world held a lot more than anyone else thought it did... It held something new... The figure began to open a hole in the air, a tear in space and time. It radiated outwards, turning everything gray in the process. Then everything changed. The place was, colorful for once. It was no longer in ruins, it seemed. This was what it looked like before. But how did he get here?

"And when a constant becomes a [Concept], they go beyond understanding." Shadow chuckles, looking around at the changes to the old building. "Time manipulation or reality warping? Or perhaps an alteration of the senses, a change in what is perceived by the world?"
-
There was no answer. The figure was gone. All that remained was the sounds of the activity of other people. Shadow wouldn't know when he was, only that it was different

Edited by TwiggierTiger22: 10/22/2017 3:10:23 AM"A shame. He could have been interesting." A negligent flick of her hand closed the leftover remnants of the rip in time/space, ensuring the barrier of the between was still there. "Now if only they would make my job easier and clean up their messes." She turned to head back outside only to vanish into a shadow of an overhead beam.
-
Come back to me, Shadow. I have a gift for you... The place shifted again, as if it was independent of time. Red sky and strange machinery were all that were here now. Along with it, the figure Shadow had seen before held out his hand and drew her back. He was pulling on her essence, her literal existence as a free flowing concept. He was forcing her into physical form...
-
She returned, unamused. "You call upon something beyond yourself. Tread carefully."
-
"Beyond myself? Is that what you'd think yourself to be? Do you even know who I am or what I'm wanting to do? My ambitions far exceed this place." He smiled wickedly "You know? You truly are a wonder. What happens when I tamper with you?" His hand held strange energy, it hurt the air and burned the sky. He looked to her, and laughed "How do you wish to proceed? Fighting, observing, or an more... less agreeable option?"
-
Her head tilted then she smiled a small, sad smile. "Apathy. That is what I shall be." She sighed. "If the Shining Darkness could not define me, then you will not shape me. A [concept] is not the pinnacle, but it is beyond what you shall reach, child." She was gone. The note never existed, the guards still lived. Only the man stood there, living his delusion.
You cannot define what does not exist. You cannot comprehend the [Void], for even the [concept] of [nothing] exists, so it is flawed. Thus, what is not shall never be.

Ah. I like it. Clever storytelling. End I suppose?
-
Indeed.

Do try to keep your character alive. Ordering around beings that can consume universes with ease never ends well.
-
Okay. He'll be alive at least till late winter...
