What had impacted was not ordinary bullets but cryogenic rounds, designed to combat beings who used fire. Each round that landed spread dry ice in the mouth and throat.[/i]

The bullets stopped upon hitting the skin and slowly were absorbed into the body. The rounds did very little except for the dry ice that seemed to cause some sort of pain or annoyance to the creature as the ice melted into a gas instantly. Without hesitation, the creature's wings suddenly sprung open once more and did a single flap in the cursed-man's direction, causing winds that could tear any building apart with ease to fly at him.

[i]The man had simply been blown away, disappearing into the fire. This had worked into his plan however. Thrusters kicked on as he halted himself mid-air. Now above the fires that tormented the town, he had used the thrusters to slow his descent. He had tagged it for later investigation, it was not worth his time. A wormhole had opened up as the curse faded away, he jumped inside and left.[/i] [spoiler]End.[/spoiler]
