Cain’s eyes went wide as the soldier had killed himself. As this happened, he could only think of one thing to do.
“Cain, what are you-?!”
Lilly was interrupted as Cain approached her and sent his fist down on the back of her head, knocking her out. As soon as Lilly fell down he put his hand down as a cushion to protect her face. He then grabbed his shield off his back and tossed it at the soldier on his left. The shield rebounded off of the soldiers skull, then flew into the other soldiers, knocking both unconscious to the ground.
Cain looked at his sister, his eyes wet with what he had just been pushed to do.
“Sorry sister...” he said under his choking breath as he picked the girl up and threw her over his shoulder. He saw his spear by the captain and stomped on it, sending its front up towards him. He gripped it with his left hand as he looked down the mine. Evil things generally are Deeper in the dungeon, right?
“I ain’t afraid of no ghost.” Cain told himself as he broke into a jog down the mine shaft.
