"Panta? PANTA!" Mother. Irina scoured through the flames, dodging through the falling debris and coughing as smoke filled her lungs. The Vileblood traversed through the chaos, stopping to lift up a few of the stragglers and the lives nearly lost to the flames, their cries of blessings lost to her ears as she continued to search for Panta, her little girl, her.. her daughter. Then, a distant horn blast caught her attention. War To War The thundering hooves of several cavalry horses charged through the burning streets of Dojoville, their knightly riders brandishing weapons of iron and steel. Their uniforms were of a royal purple color, some decorated with strands of white, or yellow, or black. There seemed to be at least a hundred cavalry horses charging through the roads, avoiding the flames incredibly well, while some rose a sigil high into the air - a pointed flag, bearing a golden lion, rearing back upon it's hind legs, upon a striped canvas of white and purple. Behind the cavalry charge, hundreds of medieval-styled soldiers came through, swords either sheathed or drawn. When approached with a member of the Dojo, they would strike them down without haste. Yet when catching the sight of a civilian.. a man, a woman, or a child - they would risk their wellbeing to bother saving them, as if it was just how disciplined they were, or.. simply heroic. As the fire waged onwards, the cavalry troops would halt their progression, as men and women in armor alike began to simultaneously cooperate: water was sprayed upon the flame, while trenches and barricades had begun process in the raging chaos.

  • The fire appeared to back off where ever Irina ran, giving her a clear path. Panta was no where to be seen however. All soldiers that got too close to her were instantly vaporized. Any soldier unlucky enough to be throwing water onto the fire was met with the fire jumping onto them, clinging to their body like napalm. The armor would burn away in under a second, burning alive the person inside. The trenches stopped the fire from spreading successfully to the sides, but it grew in height where it lost distance, blocking the sky.

  • "PANTA!" Irina yelled again, a certain desperation in her voice. She ran down the paths that had been cleared for her, past the soldiers that had tried to kill her, the stench of burning flesh filling the air. "Pull back-!" A captain would yell, as the rest of the men with buckets filled with water would retreat to building barricades, using the unlit structures around them to their advantage. Their coordination was stellar, as more and more troops continued to spread into the area, saving civilians and slaying Dojo members. And at it's head, was Freya Trayven, second daughter and fourth child to the Sun King. "Status report, now!" She roared at her fellow commanders, as she finished the bandages upon a burnt soldier. The woman was of average height, with a thin, athletic build, built for versatility and dexterity. Her almost spiky, short red hair parted for her orange eyes, while her purple and white uniform and steel armoring were coated in soot and ash.

  • Irina found herself nearing the center of the fire and began to hear what sounded like whispers from the flames around her. "Mother....Mother...." At the very center everyone could spot what appeared to be giant wings of fire poking out from the rooftops of buidlings, the fire receding slightly.

  • With haste in each and every step taken, Irina ran as fast as she could, sweat running down the side of her face. She would keep her speed at sixty miles per hour - she needed to be fast and controllable yet, not to slam into some piece of debris. She would find herself looking for the wings. If Panta had become what she thought she had..

  • Around the corner was a two story tall beast with scaly black hide that emitted a constant fire on random patches of its body. The creature's head had four horns that grew from the side and curved away from the large mouth full of long, sharp teeth. The eyes burned a bright red, full of hate and out of the mouth came a breath hotter than the fires of hell. Lava dribbled out from between the teeth and onto the ground, melting through the ground at an alarming rate. With a loud roar the creature's arms, thick as tree trunks, rose toward the sky. The wings folded onto the monster's back as it took notice of Irina, snarling.

  • "What the fuсk.." Irina had a vendetta against dragons, and anything that even resembled something close to a dragon. She didn't have time for this creature, unless.. unless it was Panta, or housed her somehow, anyway. She found it too unlikely, though. Panta had called out to her, she could hear it.. as if the child was the flame itself, or at least held some control over it's vicious nature. Yet Irina didn't have much control over the sudden screech in the distance. High above, silver wings glinted in the burning night, as Freya rode her steed into combat. Compared to the dragon, the armored griffon was only a little smaller, yet adorned with hefty, lightweight plating. It circled about the dragon, as Irina used the opportunity to continue searching for little Panta.

Suddenly the wings extended forcefully, killing all of the fire in the surrounding area due to the huge blast of air. The beast growled as the flames on its body gradually turned a bright blue, burning at an even higher temperature. "Vileblood..." The word originated from the large demon looking being, its voice low yet loud enough to shake the ground. From one of the creature's clawed hands a blue sword of fire formed, several dozen feet long.

"Not.. now," Irina muttered, keeping her distance from the creature. That greatsword wasn't something that she could counter if this thing was as ridiculous as most Dojo members. But if it was slow, then she would at least have a chance. Though the griffon overhead was her second problem. Whatever the case was, she needed to find Panta. No matter what. As if baiting out the monstrous.. thing, the griffon would descend downwards in a swooping motion, Freya aiming the tip of a thick lance into the chest of the creature.

The beast had moved all of its attention to the griffon and saw it swooping down, so it leaned forward a little as a blast of blue fire shot out of its mouth and toward the flying opponent. "Death....fire....it all burns...." Irina could hear Panta's voice nearby, she sounded tired and like she was only half conscious.

Irina turned towards the voice, screaming "PANTA!" as she sprinted through fire and flame, attempting to reach the child. Meanwhile, the lance that Freya held in her hands shot towards the ball of flame, as the griffon flipped around to the side to dodge. It would continue it's flight towards the creature, only heightened by speed.

  • The blue flame shot out like a hose from the mouth, following the griffon. Irina would turn a corner to see Grant carrying a bleeding and crying Panta. She also began to notice the fire dying out at a rapid rate.

  • As the lance met the flame, it was as if the fire would dissipate, trapped within whatever metal the tip was made of. The griffon would soar back around, as if testing the creature to see if it would take flight upon it's own.

  • The beast roared a defeaning cry as the earth shook and cracks formed all around, lava pooling out from the newly formed tunnels. From the cracks a solid black metal flew out and attached to the chest of the creature, creating armor. This process continued from different cracks surrounding the monster until it had crude chunks of black metal armor all over its body.

  • The sudden armor was an actual issue for the griffon and Freya, as it rendered the lance to a state where only a direct hit to an unprotected area would even come close to damage. Yet the griffon spiraled around once again towards the monstrous being, Freya raising the lance upwards once again as she prepared an actual attack.

  • The sword of the beast transformed into a large whip of fire as it pulled it back before snapping it forward at the griffon's body. The other hand pulled back, ready to strike a punch.

  • What the rider of the griffon would see would be the seemingly magical capabilities of the sword, thus she immediately steered her griffon to the side, literally swinging the polearm towards the whip and catching it. The result caused the whip to smolder and return back into it's sword form - it was as if the lance itself countered all forms of magical properties, least to some degree, as it's tip flickered with burning flame. The result allowed the griffon to get close, flapping overhead the balrog as it's throat gurgled, before it released a barrage of sickly green acid upon the creature.

  • The fire beast shot out another stream of fire, evaporating the acid upon contact. With growing impatience the monster flapped its wings and went flying upward at the griffon rapidly, swinging the sword at the polearm specifically. "RAAAAGH!"

  • The griffon would spiral back, screeching as it grabbed the blade with it's armored claws and brought it down. It made it's way upon the balrog's body, claws shredding the armor off before flying back into the air. It's claws bled, yet the fire didn't do much..

With the extended time it would take for the claws to both grab the blade to deflect it and slash the armor, the beast grabbed one of the griffon's wings with its open hand and dug its claws deep into the skin while it also pulled itself up and bit down on the griffon's neck, easily penetrating.

  • The beast would find itself driving it's teeth into armor plating mostly, though the griffon's screech would ring outwards. Yet the rider would drive the lance into the balrog's eye, as Freya twisted the weapon into the creature's head. The attempt was to drive the entire thing through.

  • The lance would go into the hollow hole that is the eye of the beast, but wouldn't even come close to penetrating. All it did was infuriate the creature as its sword vanished and it instead grabbed yet another wing with its now second open hand. While that was happening, the beast swung its legs so its clawed feet now clung and dug into the hind legs of the griffon.
