All credit goes to the original author. I reposted this here because it would have a better chance be seen by Cosmo. There is very few improvements I would make. Including a seasonal reset and item change and a rank 50 reward. Also seeing legendary shards being used to purchase more of the items. Posts on Reddit are seen more by people like Deej, nightfall was just currently changed thanks to the Reddit group. Lol they don't listen to this bunch because to many whine and don't offer up decent solutions (ones that do are far and few between).

I constantly felt like I was just dumping coins in a slot machine at a casino and had no real goal, like a gear set I knew was static to work for in D1. So I some how ended up here, reading all the positive and negative about the game. More negative it seems than anything. This though... This nails it for me. I like having engrams out in the wild to turn in when I come back to the tower but I also loved spending my hard earned marks on something I absolutely knew was there. That goes for any currency. Right now I'm sitting at almost 2k shards and NOTHING to use them on. At least with some sort of static vendor I could window shop or try out new armor or guns. I feel like there are some other things that need fixed as well but this is a heck of a start IMO. Thank you for posting this. It gives me hope for D2.

Loving that idea, except the planet specific resources needed, lemme use my excess legendary shards.

This is a cool idea... except for requiring the planet specific resource farming. I hated that in D1. Should be able to use glimmer, legendary shards, tokens, or resources... or a combination of any of the above to purchase items.

This would be amazing! You could then actually make gear sets for certain things (prestige nightfall) which could help you to complete it. It would definitely give more things to do with a certain goal and knowing that you will achieve it if you just keep on grinding.
