There was a girl walking the streets of the outskirts of Dojoville. She was fairly short, only five feet tall, and appeared rather young. She seemed to only be thirteen at the most. She had a smile on her face, and blood on her mouth. She was extremely pale, pointed teeth peeking out from her lips. They appeared to be longer than usual... And her canines. Her eyes were blood-red. You can fill in the blanks of what she is. She wears a black dress. It looked extremely fancy, possibly satin. Her arms were covered in black lace, it led down to her fingers. She had on a pendant. It was made of pearl, the chain gold. It had a red pentagram engraved on it. This was Sabine, a very young vampire with a now sated lust for blood. She'd found a sleeping man in an alleyway, and had dined. She'd given up on not killing them at this point, it was too much of a hassle to cover her tracks that way. She was getting more feral, she found, more prone to killing and maiming. Perhaps this was a side-effect of maturing as a vampire, perhaps she was just so lonely she was going insane. Either way... She didn't care. She was having a fun time with being a vampire. It was... Extremely satisfying. She took another turn into an alleyway, and she felt uneasy. She didn't know why... She just had a feeling. The air smelled stale. Cold. Much colder than the other parts that she'd been in. Then... She saw it. Another set of eyes in the darkness. They were blue, an extremely light blue. A complete contrast to her own. A smile was seen now, as if straight out of some horror movie. Bright, white teeth. It terrified her. She stumbled back as an excited, male voice spoke. Voice: "Hey, wanna see a dead body?!" Suddenly, half of someone's body slid over to Sabine. It was a male vampire. Pale skin, red eyes, pointed teeth. His shirt was red, but that could've just been blood. She couldn't tell. It looked like he'd been torn directly in two. Sabine fell back in shock, catching herself on the ground. Footsteps were heard now, along with a cackling laugh. "Oh, that's just rich! The look on your face! Oh, I'm gonna have a fun time blowing your brains out!" Suddenly, she felt someone right beside her, leaning into her to whisper in her ear. The person felt cold. Very cold. He was wearing some sort of fabric, coarse but even. She just got even more scared, beginning to cry. "That's right little vampire. You're going to die here. Your undead kind deserves to burn in hell for what you do. Taking advantage of people. It will be fun to hunt down you freaks of nature and kill you each. One. By. One." She felt something cold on her back. It was metal. A gun barrel. It wasn't behind her head. It was in the middle of her back, right on her spine. The laughter returned. "You're more despicable than I am. So... How about you suffer?" A shot rang out. Sabine didn't even scream. She knew it was coming. It ripped through her spine and chest. It was a massive caliber of bullet, whatever it was. Perhaps .50. Her legs went numb. So did everything else below her chest. Her face twisted into one of sadness and pain. She cried more. "Baby gonna cry? You filthy beast. This is what people you bite feel like. People you kill. Penance, little vampire. Penance." He put the gun to the back of her head now, and she began to beg and plead. Sabine: "Pl-Please... Don't do this... I won't... I won't do this anymore... I promise..." The gun barrel was pressed harder onto the back of her head. Voice: "What about the people who you killed who begged, huh?! What about them?! Did you leave them be?! Let them live?! No! And I'm going to kill you. You are going to die here, Sabine LeFranch. Yes, I know your full name. You lied to others about it. Something else you must take penance for." She cried out, but he pulled the trigger. It blew out a large chunk of her head, sending gore and brain matter to the far wall. The smile appeared again, so did the eyes. It was right beside her. Ah was dragged now, to the middle of the street. Because of the nature of her vampirism, she was healed back up by the time he got her there. She was kicking and screaming. "Gather 'round good people! Witness the execution of a creature of the night! Step right up, step right up! A nickel and I'll let you shoot her with this here gun!" The gun was a very large pistol. It was indeed the caliber that Sabine thought it was. It was engraved with hundreds of tiny words. They were almost unable to be read, but they were Bible verses and holy words. Another pistol of the same nature hung by his side. The man was extremely tall, probably around seven feet. He wore a brimmed hat, black in color. He also wore a large jacket, black as well, as were his pants. He wore gloves of the same color, and black boots. He threw Sabine to the ground, putting a foot on her back. "Just kidding!" He shot Sabine again, in the same spot on her head. "This is a message to all of you undead freaks out there! Vampires, werewolves, ghouls, ghosts, all of you! I will find you! And you will die!" He shot more times, laughing and laughing. When none of Sabine's head remained besides a red puddle, he pulled a stake from his jacket. He drove it straight through Sabine's heart. She twitches for a second, then lay still. He pulled the stake out, and smiled widely. He puts away his pistol, and wipes off the stake on Sabine's now still corpse. "Another good day of work! Now run! I know you will!" His eyes burned like fire. Literally. It looked like his eyes were blue flames. Perhaps this kill had fueled him. Perhaps it was just a trick. The man laughs, and slings Sabine's corpse over his shoulder, now walking down the street. He began whistling Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Open as hell.
• "Nah, I wouldn't worry about me turning you into squish cheese until you start preforming weird-ass rituals or something. Should be fine for now. Just explain what you are. That way I can decide whether you're a threat or not. Though, if you start helping me out... There may be a few benefits. By benefits I mean less of a chance of you getting on my list later." He takes his jacket off, revealing a white, long-sleeved, button-up shirt. It would be a pain in the ass to clean later. Vampire blood was hard to get out. Even with holy water, which burned it away. The smell of gore and rotting flesh liked to stick around unless you used bleach or something, and that stuff made his jackets turn gray. And that just wouldn't do. "Also, my Hunter? The hell is this, an old gothic video game? I'm just a vampire hunter. Guess you could call me yours if you wanted, but I work mostly alone. Probably because most really don't agree with my methods. The brutalizing children part really doesn't help." He folds his jacket over his shoulder, and looks back over to Athena. "And you don't have to build a pyre. It's just convenient."

  • "Forgive me, it is.. just a figure of speech. The modernized form of English is seemingly new to me, yet I've managed to work past the "thou" and "thy", of which neither are in use anymore." Perhaps she was slightly embarrassed, though it wouldn't stop her from saying "my Hunter" in the future. Athena held out her arms, as if openly offering to hold it for him. "I am a mage, to some degree. A mage that is not from these lands, yet.. seeks it out. This place is dark.. evil."

  • "A mage? Nothing supernatural enough for me to care about killing mages. Hell, half the time they help me out because some witch is sapping their power. Just don't do any blood or bone magic and we're fine." He looked down, to Athena's outstretched arms. He put the jacket in them, but gave her a grim look that basically said "If you make my jacket dirty I will pull you apart." "And I remember old English... Hell, I remember the crusades. Remember Dracula? Dude put up one hell of a fight, and the Catholic Church got royally screwed before we actually got to his castle. Got a lot of vampires dead, though. Guns would've made it a lot easier though. Too bad the Chinese were holding out on me. Killed a bunch of Oni for them and all they gave me was rice and a few bombs. Though, it was very satisfying to smite them with blessed arrows. Oh, and there was that time I killed that vampire and served him to his own family because he took my arm and ate it." He smiled wickedly, and his face was almost visible from under his hat, but it was just out of sight. "Good times. Oh, that reminds me!" He leans down to Sabine's corpse, and pulls a knife from his pocket. He cuts her wrist, squeezing blood into a small bottle. He takes a swig of the blood before tucking it away. "Very good times." He laughs for a second before composing himself again.

  • Athena would take up the jacket with her arms, holstering up the clothing apparel and looking back at "Hunter" with a look that, said on it's own, "Oh, will you?" - though that was followed by a mere smile, and a nod. "You've been alive for quite a while, then? Interesting. I can only boast of.. about twenty-eight years of life. My mother had sustained herself for thousands of years, before dying after my birth. Ironic, I know. ...In any event, I have yet to be drained by some cruel witch. I will still attempt to assist you. By the way.. how many others have openly taken arms against the supernatural, at least in this area? I fear that.. that you're the first and only one that has been forced to take action."

  • "Well, I'm technically not the only one. I have three followers. A girl now named Huntress, a man named Pierre, and a man named Brother Thomas. Huntress is obsessed with me, Pierre is obsessed with money, and Brother Thomas is obsessed with the Catholic Church. And me?" He smiled very wide, and looks down at her now. "I'm obsessed with spilling every single drop of blood I'm allowed to spill. And lemme tell you, killing the undead is a very, very easy loophole to exploit. And it's fun to watch their heads go pop!" He laughs some more, a hearty laugh. It was pretty loud as well. "Anyways, do you have anywhere to stay? If not you can stay with us. You are a very, very valuable asset. And by that I mean it'd be fûcking nice to not have to stare at the others that are following me during meetings. It gets very boring." He smiles very widely down at her.

  • "Although I do have a place that I call home.. it is very far from this hole. If you don't mind an extra mouth to feed, I'd be more than happy to join you." Though Athena wasn't happy about having to share a home with this.. "Huntress". At the mere mention of her obsession with the Hunter, Athena's eyes blinked, as the slightest confusion came over her face. "Must I worry about your companions? Believe it or not, I have met plenty of fanatics that curse my magic, plenty of filth that had attempted to cut my throat for gold, and plenty of crazed woman who would do the very same, thanks to the reasons stated already.."

  • "Worry about them? Hell no. If I bring somebody around, they know it's their head and their entire lineage's head if they so much as touch my guest. Well, not really just touch but you get my point. And I really don't care about feeding another person. I have enough money from the governments and our own business. We aren't just hunters, you know. We run an arms and security business back on earth." The Vampire Hunter bends down, and looks her in the eyes with his own. They were burning, just like when he'd first killed Sabine. "I promise you won't get hurt while in my company. Well, hurt by others. If you get in my way you may accidentally get hurt. I get... Carried away. Also try not to hurt yourself. That's just bad face for me as a host."

  • "Holy fuсking shit, man, that's rude. You shouldn't kill kids, ya know, especially with a war on our doorstep." Ian, surprisingly enough, strode next to the man. "And especially not in front of another vampire. But I won't kill you, no. Not today."

  • He knelt down, putting Sabine's corpse on the side of the road. Even if she was a bloodsucking monster, she was still a person. He would treat her corpse as if it was just someone else. Even if he treated undead with cruelty, he would treat their bodies with respect. He pulls both pistols from his sides, and laughs. "You? Kill me? That's rich... Very rich! Do you know how many times I've heard an undead say that to me? Don't answer, you probably can't guess right." He raises his pistols, and rains hell upon Ian.

"B-But...why?" Behind a shadowy corner, a girl with a tear stained face sniffled. Her dull black and white shirt and skirt were covered in dirt, making her appearance that more pathetic looking. "H-How can a-anyone b-be so cruel?" Lil Panta sat there with a look of horror as the man passed by before quickly burying her face in her arms.

  • The man stopped dead in his tracks. It was like no one had heard his speech. He'd walked what, maybe ten feet? Was she deaf or something. He leans down, smiling yet again. He looks at Panta, right in the eyes. "Why? Because she wouldn't have shown you or anyone else the courtesy of not being cruel. She was a vampire. A monster. A freak. She's killed over a hundred people. She doesn't deserve to live. No undead monstrosities do. None like her should be able to run amok. I gave her a quick death."

  • "She wasn't a monster...she needed help. You need help too." Panta stared back, a small spark could be seen in her pupil as if a fire was attempting to ignite within her. "Please, don't hurt people..." She mumbled, beginning to cry again.

  • "It's my job. It's my job to deliver righteous justice to people like her. Undead monsters. They kill and kill and kill. But they do it because they can. I do it to get rid of them." He gently puts down Sabine's corpse on the ground. Even if she was an undead monstrosity, he still believed in sanctity for the dead. He points down at the corpse. "She literally wore a necklace with a pentagram. She killed men, women, children. It was fine before. When she just drank the blood of animals. But no. She's a murderer. Worse than I am by a long shot. I just make sure monsters like her don't get to walk on this earth anymore. So no. I'm going to keep hurting people like her. Monsters like her."

  • "Why not help them? You think they start out wanting to murder? Why do you think she suddenly started killing people when drinking their blood? Something happened." The lil girl buried her face again, muffling her voice. "No one needs to die..."

  • "I monitor people who have turned. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts... They all end up the same. They give in to their primal instincts and kill. And they keep killing until someone like me comes around to put them down like the beasts they are." He kneels down, and smiles at her with his white smile. He puts a hand on her shoulder. "I don't expect you to understand. You don't know what these people do. How they work. You don't get it. They have to die. If good, honest people wanna live, I have to kill the bad ones."

  • "...But the world isn't black and white. Evil and good. It's all just a lot of different shades of grey. That's what my mother used to say...." She slowly began to stand up to her unimpressive five feet. "I'd rather help them fight the instincts than murder them."

  • The vampire hunter stood back up to his much more impressive seven feet. He looked down at her with his smile intact. "You just don't get it, do you? I tried that once. Helping them fight it. Wanna know what it got me? Dead parents and a broken arm. You want to try and tell me I should help them when I tried it and that happened?" He laughs yet again, looking down at her. "You're so naive. You think everything can turn out well. You're wrong. Oh-so wrong. You'll see what I mean. For now, just don't intervene. • "No, you're wrong!" Panta stood up a bit more, getting confidence out of seemingly no where. "Just because you turned your back on people desperately in need of help doesn't mean I will! I'll help them!...and stop you...." Her voice got quiet again, the sparks in her eyes looked as if they had moved onto embers.

Thanks for the laugh. But... You won't stop me. And I have a feeling you won't help much either. Because you're scared. And there's only one way to stop me, kid." He leans into her, whispering into her ear now. "The only way to stop me is to kill me. And you won't do that."

  • "Yeah...w-well!" He feels a light tap on his chest and looks down to see Panta had punched him. Her fist made less of an impact than if a fly had landed on him. "Sorry! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you..." She then instantly began to back away and apologize as if she committed some horrible crime.
