The Night After Coldbourne's Defeat
Long wooden tables were set up with streamers and lights hung up all over to give the usually dull area some cheerful atmosphere. All kinds of alcohol and food were laid out for anyone to grab while some party music played and people chanted along.
The green haired warrior known as Lyn could be seen dancing on a table as if she were having the time of her life. Her cheeks were red and smile wide as it was clear she had already been drinking for some time now. She swung her pint to and fro as her legs twirled, spilling her drink all over on accident.
Open. Have fun. Reply to each other if yee want.
"No, but close." He says, going to take a drink form his bottle before remembering it's empty.
-
"Mother? Brother?! The fact I was close is scary..." Lyn sighed at her empty pint in disappointment.
-
"No, though I would definitely taken one of her friends brother. Dude was pretty damn tall, easily 7 feet and built like a brick wall. Must've had something good going on down there."
-
"Huh. So how did you meet her exactly? I'm now curious....The name's Lyn by the way."
-
"Leonard Rivas the third, though I prefer that most stick to Leon. Sounds a lot less pretentious. Let's just say it involved drinks, me losing a bet, several other ladies and my virginity."
-
Lyn snickered. "Sounds like a fun time. Also, I have a longer name too, but I just never say the full thing."
-
"It was interesting, I'll say that much. And the whole name usually sounds pretentious. You make yourself sound like an ass."
-
"Yeah, like, who wants to hear my full name and title? Not like it really matters and you'd have to be an idiot to try and say the full thing in combat. That's why just Lyn works for me." She began to walk away. "I need another drink. Coming?"
-
"Eh, sure. I have nothing better to do." He says as he stands. He staggered a little bit, but walked with her
-
Lyn head towards the tables covered in drinks, switchingbout her epmty glass for a freshly filled one. "There is very little celebration here, isn't there?"
-
"Victories are commonplace to many people here. But, to those of us who are mortal and aren't superhumans, we savour each one. Plus, means there's more for us." He did the same, taking a sip "Man this stuff is horrid. But it gets the job done."
-
"Nothin' like good ol'nektar, but that's such a rarity. I'm surprised I was gifted any at all today." Lyn got to work on her own drink.
-
"Eh, military life teaches you to stomach anything put in front of you. Not the worst thing I've drank.@ He says laughing a hit
-
"Have you ever had any nektar? Y'know, the drink of the gods?" Lyn asked, curious.
-
"Nope. Can't be any worse than straight Russian vodka though. That shit will burn a -blam!-ing hole in you. Only thing more alcoholic is straight 100% alcohol."
-
"Ha! Trust me, we need to get you some nektar to try. You'd love it. I know I do."
-
"You'd probably get along with the Irish where I'm from. Drinking is the nstional past time."
-
"I hardly get to drink and only nektar seems to actually get me drunk now, but thanks." The song changed and Lyn couldn't help dancing a little in place. "Love the music..."
-
"Not what I'm used to, but it definitely isnt bad I'll say that much. He said, taking another sip.
-
"Not bad? I love drinking songs like this! So much better than that popular stuff normal people listen to."
-
"I'm not too picky when it comes to music, so long as it's not country."
-
"I don't believe I've head of country before. Maybe I'll listen to that sometime."
-
"Don't. It's horrid. Sticking your hand in a moving sawblade is more fun than listening to it."
-
She laughed. "If the genre exists some people must like it. Everyone has different tastes."
-
"Yes. Those people who say they like country are currently either balls deep in their cousin, dead, or can lie."
