I think its prolly also because they almost ALWAYS had amazing scout rifles as well. Hung jury for instance was an amazing gun throughout d1. So aside from shaders and edgelords their guns were pretty legit in d1.

But form what I seen in D2 FWC had much better weapons not even talking about the contest winning weapons.

I agree. But its just like all the people throwing a fit ablut the differences between d1 and d2. Its hard for people to change sometimes. Even in a video game.
