Salty as everyone is about it I really don't think of dead orbit as cowards. Its a foolish idea to put your entire species in one place that's constantly under siege, one error and suddenly you've gone extinct.
Dead orbit is all about expansion: settling and colonizing other worlds. Exploration is a big part of that, and my reason for joining them - my hunter would be the kind of character to live on a ship at the edge of space looking for things.
English
-
Because humans at this point totally have the resources and numbers to do that
-
Because being cooped up in a single city really limits the possibilities.
-
Yeah lets abandon the thing that saved us from extinction and spread all are numbers out so that we are much weaker
-
Keeping all of Humanity inside a single city can only mean disaster. Look at what happened to the cavity when the red Legion attacked. And the only reason we were able to take the city back is because our Guardian got our light back. The Red Legion invasion shows that the city isn't as safe as it claims to be and that one day there will be a threat even bigger then the Red Legion to attack earth and guess where all of humanity will be, being sitting ducks.
-
If we were all spread out, the red legion would take the travellers light, meaning guardians would end up almost useless. As humans will be spread out, it will be easy for any enemy race to attack and take them out without much resistance, meaning humanity would end up extinct. Humans havent got the numbers to expand yet
-
But how can the numbers grow if we're limited to a single city? There needs to be expansion in order for humanity to Prosper.
-
How can the population not increase if they’re in a single city?
-
If we're limited to a single city then there will be a point where there will be no more room. There for expansion has to happen.
-
Yes there will be a point but we haven’t reached the point where everyone is crowded and there is enough people to start a new city
-
There was close to no space when we were running through the city in the final mission. The city Is already crowded. With the traveler awake again there's no place where the light doesn't touch so it's not like Guardians would get weaker if they were to expand and explore.
-
You’ve only seen the city with cabal in it and never with any citizens. And some of them will have died during the cabal invasion
-
But look at the city from the tower. In Both D1 and D2 there's is close to no space between buildings. With the Travelers return we have new possibilities.
-
But how many people live in the last city?
-
I don't Know you tell me
-
So then we dont know if humans are able to expand right now
-
And we don't know if we can't
