We all wondering why Destiny 2 is missing so many good features from the original game such as Private matches, strikes specific loot, daily bounties, weekly elite bounties, choosing crucible modes and the freedom of choosing which strikes you wanna run. All that comes to what is called "The Trickle Down Effect" where companies Intentionally release an incomplete game to extend the shelf life of a video game, by releasing small updates and DLC to fell the gap between the realese of the game and it's next big update or DLC.
I strongly recommend watching this very well informed video by Downward Thrust about this problem where he can explain in detail this phenomena.

They shipped an incomplete game because they started working on this like, 9 months ago and they had a contractual release date to get the game out by. If you really think that Bunghole spent the last 3 years, or even last 1 year working on this game, I got a bridge I can sell ya. But that's just bungie.
