Hunter made a note of the signs, and the hallway, everything he could for the most part as he walked. He was making a mental map of the place for himself, which he would transfer onto paper later on. After a few minutes of walking, he arrived at the armoury and entered the room, looking around as he did so.

It was a fairly large room with a machine similar to the vendor that gave them the applications standing at a desk. There were enough guns and ammunition sitting behind the desk to start a civil war. Even shields and a uniquely advanced cross between a sword and an axe sat behind the automated quartemaster. https://i.imgur.com/TVh8gBv.jpg

  • "Holy s***..." Noble said with a light laugh, walking towards the Quartermaster of the armoury. "Excuse me."

  • "Ah hello!" It's words coming out in a generic though pleasant sounding manner. "Are we here to look into loadout options or test guns at the fireing range to see what fits you best?"

  • "I'd like to take a look at some of the loadouts you might have. See what suits me!" Noble said happily.

  • "That sounds like something for the gun range! The door to your left is the range. We have, basic target practice, simulated combat scenarios, and general statistics for every gun available. Just put in the desired intentions and pick from our list on the screen inside and the room should prepare itself for your arrival! Good luck!"

  • "Thank you, very much." Noble nodded his head in thanks before walking over to the range, and typing in "Battle Rifle," as his desired weapon.

A list of weapons showed up on the screen under the search result of "battle rifle" followed by a prompt to select a scenario in which to test any of the selected weaponry.
Sh_t Almost Sent The Axe Sword Pic XD
• Naturally, Noble chose the first weapon he saw. Which was the first weapon in the left hand corner.

  • Two boxes showed up on the screen with the words "combat scenario" and "default range" along with check boxes to confirm what was to be expected inside the test range.

  • Noble chose "Default Range," So that he could test the weapon before taking it into battle.

  • After a brief rumbling noise from inside a door opened to a standard fireing range. Targets of various distance, a device to adjust the range, and a rack with a single gun perched on the shelving with a couple full clips next to it.

  • Noble walked over towards the rack, picked the weapon up and loaded it. He took a moment to get his grip on the weapon before raising it to and squeezing the trigger.

  • While the sights seemed a bit unusual, there was a fair amount of frontal weight to counter recoil and what could be assumed was a camera, automatically displaying the distance of where the rifle aimed at. While it was set as default to burst fire, it had a tab on the side that seemed to indicate full auto and semi auto functions. The designer clearly had overlooked very little on the weapon and it's purposes.

  • "Nice." Noble said, firing three bursts at the target and nailing all nine of the rounds themselves in the center of target. He placed the weapon down before going off, returning to his room and going inside.

  • The room was fairly better than one would expect from the term "living quarters" seeming more like an average apartment with a kitchen, living room, and even a bedroom with a closet. There was clothing already available seeming to suggest they measured him before they even got to the base. It seemed pleasant until it came to looking outside the window. Signs, several of them held by people protesting in front of the fence between them and the people on security. "My son is not your science project" was scrawled on one as she held and empty basket made up for an infant that was not there. The terrible reality was that she was not the only one. There were at least five others with similar signs and similar baskets in the group screaming though not being heard through the thick window. Several others were rallied behind these women with signs of their own, seeming in a attempt to support them in their cause.

  • "Holy s**t..." Noble said to himself, turning away from the window and the people.

  • With no prior warning an intercom suddenly cracked on in the room. Antonio's voice slightly muffled by the speaker was projected into the room as if the intercom in a high school. "Ladies and gents of mantle private security, I'd like to announce we have four new members to our team. James Helton, Hunter, some of you may remember Adam *Greed* from one of our off site assignments, and Riley. They will all be with us on transport in four days so if they have any questions please feel free to answer them. Also, c units down to the hydrant rooms, c units, down to the hydrant rooms" After that the screen on a computer in the room lit up with a number five bubble hovering over the email icon.

  • Three of them seemed to be standard greetings and welcoming to the job and another looked like the average scam, but then there was one other labeled "Phantom" with the subject noted "were you the one in the window?" With a link attached to it.

  • A small note on the side said "disconnected from internet" before A small chat screen showed up. A small note reappeared. "connected to internet" showed up and after that the chat screen started to send messages. "How long have you been there?" Was the first set of words to appear on the screen.

  • "Will you help" We're the next list of words to appear on the screen followed by a news article describing something called the "red spot virus" and how it's been theorized to be nothing more than a mark to give mantle an excuse to experiment on civilians.

  • "I will find you later." After that the vauge messenger vanished and online functions rerouted back to security WiFi. Whoever it was they didn't even leave a name to contact or someone to look for. It was definitely an unusual situation for a first day on the job so to speak. Conspericy theories, accusations for kidnapping, and transport service was coming up soon. So much chaos in barely any time.
