The Invictus quickly jumped out of the system, flying through several systems before eventually coming to a halt some halfway across the galaxy.
"Damn..." Serendipity said, looking around the table.
"Let's think about this. We have maybe 12 seconds to drop in, send out the pods and leave before we're discovered." She stated, looking around the table.
"So everybody get into positions."
The crew scattered, taking some of the pods in the ship and prepping for the attack.
"Jumping in 3, 2, 1..."
The ship jumped, appearing over the station for the second time.
12 seconds.
The pods fired off from the hull of the ship, flying towards the shield of the station.
7 seconds.
The ship quickly altered course, jumping out of the system just as quickly as they had arrived.
2 seconds.
Just in time. They were halfway across the galaxy, with several pods flying towards the shield.

The pods would touch the shield, slowly descending in. They didn't blow up however, them having just barely off of the mass that would blow them up. They managed to breach the shield, and started to descend through the area between the shield and the ground. It would take awhile before they landed however, and the whole station went on high alert
-
"Ready? Hit it!" Serendipity yelled over the team comms, as a rocket thruster on top of the pod went off, propelling them forward towards the ground 3 times as fast.
-
Multiple shots rang out as the rocket power was increased, before one shot managed to pierce each pod. It was odd, at that speed, it would've been very difficult to have predicted shots like that Then you see it: The Overseer. The hulking machine was as big as any frigate, while long mechanical tendrils that connected to many different weapons. Flying about it were small drones that did something or other. This thing supposedly look into the future to a certain degree. It would be tough to deal with too, as it's size was massive
-
"Everybody alright?" Serendipity asked, the bullet having missed her hip by two inches. "Yeah. Bullet would've torn through my heart! Luckily I got shields." Scorch said with a laugh. "Just fine. My shields took the brunt of the damage." Noble reported, the 7 pods continuing onwards and nearing the planet.
-
The Overseer wouldn't let that happen esaily. More shots rang out, each one closer and closer. These seemed like impossible shots, when one hit straight through a pod at the head level A tentacle moved up, moving to start grabbing at the pods. It was huge, at least as thick as the biggest of trees
-
The bullet tore through Scorch's forehead, exiting out of the back of it and killing the man instantly. Just as instantly, he was brought back to life by his Ghost, causing him to laugh like a mad man. The tentacle grabbed one of the pods, which detonated in the beasts hand, revealing to have been full of explosives. The six remaining pods landed on the surface, Noble, Scorch and Serendipity stepping out. "NOW!" Noble yelled, Scorch throwing a grenade to the ground, which exploded a created a cloud of smoke. The trio ran out of the smoke, cloaked for the time being, and ran towards the entrance.
-
The tentacle moved back, then stabbed out in annoyance, missing badly. It flew back, before slamming into the ground, looking down at the smoke The landing zone was a huge, open area. It was a shiny metal, which was extremely slippery. Multiple Mechs and robots ran forward, all looking extremely powerful and well....futuristic. The weaponry they held was all plasma or laser based. The exception was the Overseer. They all aimed at the smoke cloud and started lighting it up, one pulling a launcher and firing multiple missiles at it
-
With the group having already left the smoke clouds, the pods exploded outwards and sent outwards dozens of pieces of shrapnel and metal. The trio ran into the entrance, hiding inside the base itself in the shadows of the rooms and crawling through the place slowly.
-
Multiple patrols would pass you, calling out different orders. Eventually, the drones from before flew through, trying to find you. Around ten grouped up, then froze in the air. Lights started flickering, then turned red. Their attention turned towards the group's area, and weapons primed. A patrol noticed this, and aimed down that corridor too. They were ready to fire. A vent was halfway opened, probably by a previous group.
-
Noble quickly pulled the vent from its place in the wall using his enhanced strength Abilities. The trio moved into the vent, with Noble placing the cover of the vent back where it was, the trio going through the vent.
-
The vent you dropped into was huge. A small Quad could drive through and be fine. Speaking of, it sounded as if something was driving or crawling around inside it
-
"This place is creepy as hell." Scorch said with a dry laugh, taking point and going through the vent. "And I've been in the Hellmouth." "Course you have, Guardian." Serendipity teased, following behind Scorch as the trio went through the vent.
-
As they would continue through, they would hear the crawling getting louder. The pace was quite fast too, almost as if something was running around it. Then some slams and more movement sounds. Something was tracking them, which was confirmed by the loud mechanical roar. Some quiet voices could also be heaed, mentioning something about commandos and "The Spider Chaser?"
-
Scorch raised his auto rifle into his hand, pointing the barrel around the vent while Noble moved towards an exit, looking for a way out.
-
The unfortunate thing was there was no exits except above them, and that was at least 8 feet in the air. The issue became trying to open them and the walls being extremely smooth yet hard, making them impossible to climb. A robot ran past thsm, stomping across quite fast. Then it stopped, turning around and facing you. It had 8 legs, four in the front and four in the back. On top was a plasma minigun and on its sides were two heavy plasma cannons. This was the supposed "Spider Chaser" Overseer, they were here like you said they would. Permission to kill?...copy
-
"Not on my watch..." Scorch reached his hand into the air, a golden gun forming in it as he quickly pointed it at the beast, firing three shots into its guns. The power of the sun would no doubt disintegrated guns, or perhaps worse.
-
When the smoke cleared, it was gone. Yet, the ash it should've produced was miniscule. Only a couple particles at most. What was more noticeable was the dent marks on the ground, like it jumped Sure enough, the robot fell from the ceiling, smashing Scorch straight through the floor. It stabbed one of its legs through his chest, and an energy looked to flow into it. Analysis: Guardian, Immortal unless you kill entity called "Ghost" Then drain light. Objective: Kill ghost and drain light. It then took another leg, aiming for the head
-
Scorch transmitted behind Serendipity and Noble, rising up from the ground and coughing loudly as he stretched out. "Ah. So you want to play it that way?" He asked with a chuckle, as Serendipity and Noble moved to the sides of the vent, passing by the spider. "Bring it." He said, reaching to his hip and drawing a knife, dashing forward towards the spider, disappearing from view for a moment.
-
Play We shall. Thermal Scans active, Stealth systems engaged, laser vent defense grid active. The thing went invisible, as the vents became shut in by lasers. Escape became impossible, you would have to kill the robot Serendipity would be picked up and thrown, causing the cloaking systems to go offline. It would then aim it's plasma minigun at noble, firing on them
-
Serendipity crashed into the wall, slumping downwards into a sitting position. Noble however, used his thruster pack to dodge to the side, avoiding the plasma fire and firing three bursts of his Battle rifle at the Spider. For Scorch, all he needed was to see the thing. And as he did, he jumped upwards, slamming the Arc Blade into the Spider's head, attempting to fry it's systems.
-
Electricity is my favorite! THANK YOU, NOW DIE! The robot started sapping the lightning from the arcblade, almost powering up more. It would throw off scorch before charging at him, an electro field surrounding it HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAGDKFORHMEUCBSKAIFNRHDUSBDDIEJLFIENDLDHDK
-
"Shit!" Scorch said, releasing the knife and jumping off, stopping the flow of electricity into it. "Great job!" Noble yelled, taking a few steps back and continuing his shooting. Scorch shook his head, before pulling a shotgun out and firing at beast.
-
It almost seemed that the bullets bounced off, the electricity throwing rounds back at scorch and noble. The guns were thrown off, and huge explosions detonated near them. It seemed this wouldn't give up The armor was quite heavy. Ballistic weapons would have a hard time piercing it, even if the shield was down I AM INVINCIBLE, I AM UNION, I AM DEATH, I AM HERETIC, I AM.... And on and on.
-
"Scorch, your sniper!" Noble said, looking towards the Hunter, who nodded. The Guardian drew a Thousand Yard Stare with armour piercing rounds, aiming at the beast and taking a single shot to test its effectiveness.
And yes, this is prior to the Cabal attack on the city.
-
The shot pierced the shield, made a small dent, then bounced back at scorch. This shot then disintegrated from the shield. However, the robot got moved slightly, and one of its legs got sliced a small amount by the laser grid ARGH, OW OW OW An eye came from the top of it, and a laser came from that, repairing the leg as another leg came up and put scorch into a stasis field. Another leg then came up after that, aiming at scorch
