"Sup, how many of them newfangled wrist clocks y'all got?"
JT asked this in a tone of complete sarcasm as he walked into the establishment. He himself was a man who was completely reliant on tech in his day to day life so he knew about wristwatches, though he had recently been in need of a new one for when his TacPad screen breaks in fights and is unable to be used for time. "Oh, hello. I have quite a selection over here if you'd follow me." The floor was made of a nice light brown wood, contrasting the darker brown walls on which hung clocks of every shape, material, type, and description. Chrona walked over to a large glass case, where inside, laying on a bed of red velvet, was a wide assortment of watches in many different metals and arrangements, none digital though.
-
"So," JT said, stepping towards the front desk. He glanced about at the variety of clocks on the wall, though a look of disappointment was on his face. "What's the least fancy thing you have in here?"
-
"The least fancy? I believe that would be this one." She presents a simple brass pocket watch with a brass chain. The face is plain, just minute and hour hands, and the cover is a simple raised image of a man holding a scythe.
-
"-blam!-'s up with the face of this one?"
-
"It's just Saturn, God of Time."
-
"Right, well, you see: I'm a Christian, not Lutheran, not Catholic, not Saturnian. Got anything that ain't going to get me smited on judgement day when He comes down to erase my ass from existence for the THOUSANDS of things I've done, on top of heresy?"
Fun Fact: JT is INSANELY religious. Like, homie's exempt from any god's judgement due to him not exactly being a human or anything, but he's still living in fear daily.
"Oh, Christian? I have just the thing!" She heads off and comes back with another simple pocket watch, this one's case looking like it's been carved from Ivory, and the lid has a golden crucifix inlaid atop it.
-
"Goin' down the road of Jesus, yeah? Might get me a blessin' on this baby 'ere," JT responds, his tone half joking. He wasn't planning a blessing to go on it, though it would make a nice little int to carry around.
-
"Alright, the asking price for that one is five thousand four hundred."
-
JT chuckled and opened his Tac-Pad, and within seconds, nearly one million dollars were transferred. He was always a big spender, casually to show off. "There. Oh, got anythin' related to Buddhists? Got a buddy who'd love it."
-
"Hm, yes, but I only have wall clocks."
-
"Anything... Wearable?"
-
"Not in stock, but I could probably make something."
-
"Please do, then. I'll just take some sorta Yin-Yang shit if possible."
-
"Hm, come back in three hours and I'll have it done."
-
"Cool by me," JT said, chef ore walking out of the shop.
-
Rouge hurried back, and set the clocks slow again. Tick... Three hours later
-
That was approximately the time JT would arrive again, waiting at the front desk.
-
She finished her work, and set the clocks back to normal, then walked forwards carrying her newest creation. "Just in time." She says as she sees JT.
-
"Cute," JT said, acknowledging the pun as he looked to the watch. He did have to admit that the craftsmanship was fine and the watch did, in fact, look good, though he wasn't going to acknowledge it. "So what'll it be? Bucks, bullets, or bïtches?"
-
"This one will be fifty thousand, since I custom made it and put it top of the list." It was indeed a beautiful watch, made entirely of non-living metals, with a self-winding mechanism for its three hands. The face was carved with a man in many stages of life, from birth to elderly infirmity. And the case displayed a masterfully detailed rendering of the Buddha in humble meditation beneath a tree who's branches stretched out into a thousand armed bhoddavistra, or Buddhist Saint/god, in who's many hands was held countless people of all races, classes and cultures.

"I could get a replica made for like one grand, and are we forgetting the million I just pumped into the store?"
-
"Thirty then." Her eyes lit up, she clearly enjoyed haggling.
-
"Or I can just take it off you. Shotguns are always an option."
-
The clocks all stop. "Sir, are you threatening me in my own store?"
