Just Outside Dojoville (if that's still standing at this point) Midday It was a hot day near the end of summer, Panta was gathering flowers as she regularly did while wearing a simple white skirt and shirt. Nearby, a young man, Bedlam, was leaning on a tree staring at the younger girl with a confused look. Usually he'd be wearing more classy clothes, but due to the heat he wore a simple white-t tucked into black jeans with expensive looking boots on his feet, he didn't like how under dressed he was, but he'd rather not have a heat stroke. "I still don't get why you pick these dumb flowers. There are a billion more interesting things to do." He called out to Panta, she soon responded without taking a break from picking flowers. "They're not dumb. They're beautiful, just like all life. Including pessimistic people like you, Bedlam. Are you going to just stand there and ridicule me or are you going to help?" Bedlam rolled his eyes and sighed before muttering a reply. "Don't know why I bother sometimes...."
Open.
• "What she'd hate to see that you've lost? Yeah, I can relate....I should probably get off, shouldn't I?" He laughed, not having any plans to get off.

  • "Well.. that, though she'd be preoccupied with making jokes about our.. er, position, first." Arianna just looked up at Bedlam, that blush still fluctuating throughout her previously pale, young face. It was hard to say whether she was ashamed, or actually remotely embarrassed. "S-So, uh.. we could go practice with swords, if you want.."

Bedlam laughed, finding what Arianna said amusing. "That is a very poor choice of words for our position, you know. It's as if you actually enjoy this subconsciously, but won't admit it."

  • "What do you- oh, shut up!" Arianna had to stifle a laugh there, though it would ultimately fail. "Ugh, can you please get up! There are cameras, you know.."

  • "I don't know...I'd love to see a skilled swordswoman at work up close and personal." He laughed again before letting go of her shoulders, but remaining on top of her. "You are really cute though. Wouldn't mind sparring with you more if you don't find me too annoying."

  • "Mm. You could be worse.. you're not ridiculously сocky, and you can actually pull off a pretty good fistfight, so.." Arianna smiled a little, nodding as she rose up a little. She still sat down, looking at the shorter Bedlam - though they were roughly the same height when on the ground. "I'd be happy to continue."

  • Bedlam genuinely smiled and sat back, no longer on top of Arianna. "Sweet. The only sword fighting I know is fancy fencing from lessons years ago, so I may not be an equal opponent, but I'll try to help improve you."

  • "Fencing? Like, shit with a rapier, or an actual sword? Don't use a rapier unless it's somehow magic or something, useless on armor." Arianna smiled, while she still sat for conversation that had continued onwards. "I use a nodachi, personally. A really big katana, to explain quickly."

  • "Rapier. It's questionably the best sword for a sword duel and because I'd usually have reliable magic I could make up for it not being great at bashing armour." Bedlam shifted a little to make sure he was comfortable, feeling like they might be talking for a while. He didn't mind getting to know each other better.

  • "Mm. Here I am, keeping at ranged encounters with my tools. Nodachi keeps me at range, I can cut through flesh with ease.. then it can transform into a rifle. Don't ask, a weird, yet slightly cute guy made it for me. Not as cute, nor as weird, as you. Anyway.. we can start whenever. You still have a rapier?"

  • "Aww, not as cute as me? Thank you. Good to know I'm unique enough to be more weird as well." He chuckled and then sighed. "Sadly I lost the family rapier, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement...for training. Nothing will replace a blade as well forged as that rapier."

  • "There should be a few spare swords in the armory nearby. First floor's all of the melee weapons, all arrayed in an alphabetical order. The place was arranged by some "defender of the people" type gal.. Victoria, I think her name was?"

"I know way too many Victorias that are super bossy in the bedroo-I mean, like....Yeah, I'm not getting away with that. I'll just get a sword." Bedlam got up and left to get a sword, returning with a simple rapier.

  • "Eh, that one seems like a bossy bitсh. Told me that I should've been on the defense of the Dojo.. now she's probably dead, dumb bitсh." Arianna had taken to something new: a longsword and shield combination, ramming the bladed weapon into a training dummy before tearing it out. "This is nice.. ready when you are."

  • "Uh huh....This is going to end up extremely painful for me..." Bedlam got into a simplistic stance with his sword out in front of him. He began circling Arianna.

  • "Pfft. It'll only end badly for you if I bash your head in with my shield. You'll be fine-!" Oh, Ari intended to bash his head in. As she approached, she kept a quite decent stance: her left side, consisting of her left arm and leg, was positioned in front of her right, so that her shield was held out and capable of more efficient blocking. She kept her right arm to the side, as if waiting for movement, matching that circling on her own.

With little confidence, Bedlam lunged forward with his blade pointed at Arianna's chest. He didn't fully remember what to do, but he did know he'd lose in the end. He just wanted to find the least painful way.

  • Arianna would simply pull off a block, bringing her shield in and intercepting the needle-like blade, pushing it to Bedlam's left side. She immediately brought it back, towards his chest in order to push him back, keeping her weapon ready for parrying him.

  • Bedlam stepped back, his long reach easily allowing to be out of range from a shield bash. "This isn't going to get us anywhere...." He lunged forward, his free hand now being in front with his rapier behind his body.

  • "We can try teaching you to use a sword and shield- oh, a gun! You know how to use one, I hope?" Arianna would respond, forced to back off as Bedlam returned in for an assault. Her shield arm was steadily lowering, as if she was tiring out.

  • "Finger guns count?" He said with a sheepish smile as he attempted to grab the outside of the shield and pull it away from Arianna.

  • "Maybe," Arianna grunted, though she didn't let Bedlam take the advantage, suddenly bashing into Bedlam to get him off of her.

  • He stumbled back before lunging forward again, rolling to Arianna's side and slashing with his blade. "I actually have some experience."

  • Then, something just kind of appeared nearby. It was a being that was known as Bunny. Bunny had been looking for a new owner for months, and still currently was. He slowly walked towards them both. He looked polygonal, like out of an old video game. He had a humanoid body and torso, even though it was blocky and a little awkward. It had a rabbit's face, the ears just barely attached to the head by the tiniest bit. It waved at them both, in greeting. They heard it inside their heads. "Hello."

  • Panta backed up, surprised by the sudden appearance of the being and hearing it in her head. Bedlam, at one point having been in Arty's head, knew of the being and rolled his eyes at it. He expected things to somehow go to sh*t within a couple of minutes. "H-Hello?" Panta shyly said, slowly taking a step forward towards Bunny. She didn't look like she had much confidence, obviously scared and intimidated by the newcomer.
