The Iliad Outside of the Dojo Walls, 11:55 AM Luana The Salesman -------------------------------
Open to all. Introduction to my first merchant character, and a character in the Daily Assault. Anyway, an explanation of "The Salesman". The Salesman is a being that originated from a separate realm, although it explains to those who question it's existence that it has been "throughout the weaves and webs of time and space itself". The Salesman works like a vendor would, at least in the game Destiny - it offers individuals "Crystalline Coins" - circular, clear emblems that can be traded for equipment from the Salesman. And in order to gain these.. you'll need to complete missions >:)

Anyhow. I will be utilizing Pants' "Red Zone" concept for those whom are fine with potential perma-deaths during these missions. The "Red Zones" kick in during a time of utmost danger, meaning that the target roleplayer(s) will have to act accordingly in order to survive. If they succeed, they succeed. If they fail, I get to write up incredibly tragic deaths.
A faint creaking was heard in the distance, beyond the walls of the Dojo, though clearly approaching the massive wooden door that lead into the stead upon the mountain. As the creaking drew closer, the denizens upon the stone wall could make out a truly beautiful thing - a carriage of fine redwood and what may have been an ornate gold decorating it's base, the wheels an oriental green and also adorned with the precious shining metal. The carriage was massive, at least fifteen feet tall, while it's steed was.. a giant of a metal dog. The monster of steel and titanium was easily twenty feet tall, it's paint job a rusty maroon. Two brilliant orange eyes stared up at the Dojo, a scaly nanite tongue exiting it's mouth as it panted, mimicking that of a real dog. The painted window of the moving carriage would click open, it's rider pushing it's steel head out as it looked up at the looming shadow of the Japanese-style citadel. It's face was.. a brilliant blue circle, four spider-like claws of metal holding onto the insides of the door as it let out a giddy laugh, yet not through a seeable mouth, oddly enough. It's "face" beamed a brilliant cyan, as it yelled for it's dog, "Hurry, Speedwagon!" in an oddly Indian accent, light-hearted and childish in proportion. So, the carriage carried on. ------------------------------- Luana did not expect so many people to be following the stupid carriage. She had been resting upon a rock, as the carriage had parked itself outside of the Dojo's thick stone walls. It's vendor had set up contracts, jobs, operations, and more, for the denizens of the Dojo. Though she found no reason for it at all: he gave the people coins, just so they purchased his items.. with said coins. Why? It didn't matter. The woman was waiting for more individuals on a current operation. In particular.. the assault on "Achilles". ------------------------------- OPERATIONS Daily Assault: Achilles, The Immortal/Thetis Location: Ko Rudo Mountain Range Requirements: •Three-Six Characters (Each from a different RPer)
•A three-man/four-man team must at least have one allow a perma-death, if it occurs. •A five-man team must have at least two allow a perma-death, if it occurs. •A six man team is the most difficult challenge available. Four teammates must accept the possibility of a perma-death. Quick mention! If a team enables all to suffer perma-deaths, then the currency available to them if they succeed is doubled.
Rewards For Victory: +500 Crystalline Coins (3-man) +750 Crystalline Coins (4-man) +1000 Crystalline Coins (5-man) +1500 Crystalline Coins (6-man) +Boss Loot Via PM Suggestions (Give me a basic idea, and I'll work with it) Current Party: •Luana (Orn) •Dmitri (Royal) •Jonathan (Jovis) •ELARA (Dio) •Ian (Arbiter) •Bedlam (Cthulhu) Additional Assaults: Argon, The Warborn Location: Tatakoi Plains Requirements: •Three-Six Characters (Each from a different RPer)
•A three-man/four-man team must at least have one allow a perma-death, if it occurs. •A five-man team must have at least two allow a perma-death, if it occurs. •A six man team is the most difficult challenge. We can't afford to direct an assault in there head-on, and allow it to fail. We'll have to defeat their next raid in a defensive push - this time, in the seaside village of Arkaid. Rewards For Completion: +175 Crystalline Coins (Failure), +350 Crystalline Coins (Success) -Mission received from Dojo Tester and Defender Victoria Scouting - "Beyond The Dojo" - We can't stick to Dojoville's resources forever, especially with all the fighting. But up in the Ko Rudo mountains.. we've heard that there's some rumors, of what could be an abandoned stockpile of weapons, armor, even tomes of ancient abilities. We need that, and certainly before our enemies arrive. Rewards For Victory: +250 Crystalline Coins -Mission received from Dojo Tester and Defender Victoria

Bedlam walked up to the mysterious being, a look of interest on his face. "Eyy, what do we have here? You've got a nice ride, man...woman...thing." He adjusted a grey fedora that was resting on his head.

  • "I know! Did you know that I tore out this alien girl's throat for it? She was at a loss for words, to say the least." The Salesman would release a.. laugh. Something that sounded more like a "OOHOOHOHO-Kakakaka!", if anything at all. Quite disturbing. "You're here for Achilles, too? Excellent! Name and address, please."

  • Bedlam laughed alongside the stranger, liking the person already. "Uhh...I don't know what that is, but sure! Sounds fun. I don't really have anything going on. Kinda bored."

  • "You're the one that tried slashing me wth a rapier." Luana looked up at Ian, her helmet now off. The samurai studied him, from toe to head, sighing a little. "You're even uglier now. Hopefully better, though. I guess you're here for Achilles, then?"

  • Ian's quite handsome face twitched with anger before he smiled and turned to Luana. "Yes, I am. Let's get on with it, shall we?" As he walked past her, he shoved his hand onto her chest and dropped a small piece of paper into her hands. The note read, "Sorry, I wasn't expecting a samurai so skilled as you when we last dueled. So shut the hell up."

  •
Maybe....Probably. I just don't know how hard these things will be and because of past OP as hell characters I currently have somewhat weak ones. I mean, Bedlam's powers I guess are not fully defined so I can make him better or worse throughout the story to see what fits.

Also, reply?
•
Hey, as long as you aren't charging right in and expecting the boss to do nothing, you'll be fine. You can decide between the chance of perma-death or not, using Red Zones. Your choice.
ELARA walked around the area, staring toward the salesman, her human disguise taking over. Having brown hair, and dressed in a brown shirt and jeans, walking up to the carriage. She looked to it, wondering what it was, not noticing Luana.
Raid. Perma-death or severe injury is fine.
•
Kk, mang.
"-And you, ma'am!" The robot would suddenly, and yet in an incredibly random manner, point towards the cloaked female. For a blank face, it was as cheerful as ever, the bright blue light glimmering brightly. "You aren't looking for a daring challenge, are you?"

The woman simply looked a little...interested. "Define 'challenge'. Because if it's something like what I think it is..." she says, watching over the cloaked woman to see who exactly she was.

  • "Fighting a near-immortal being with these idiots over here!" Luana would sigh, waving at ELARA silently. She was accompanied by two other individuals - a Russian man, and a mage of some sorts.

In her human disguise, it was clearly evident that ELARA had believed whatever this...unfortunate salesman, walking up to him. "Then I'd be willing to join whatever crusade you plan to journey to....my advanced technology should easily be able to get pass whatever challenges may follow" She had stated, looking around for where her crew would be.
