Likewise, the voice on the other end seemed more relieved to be discussing with actual military personnel, rather than the ragtag warriors that the Dojo typically employed.
Appreciate it. If we're able to coordinate firepower, we should have local Imperial forces routed from the Dojo in hours.
"Agreed, the sooner we get them out of here, the sooner we can save a few lives." The man on the other end said, before taking a breath. "If you don't mind, I'll come up to where you guys are. Provide you a map of the land if you need, and we can discuss how to approach this... 'Empire'."
Roger that. We'll send escorts.
Two light mechs came in to escort the convoy through the first few lines of defense. Despite their recent arrival, these new forces had already dug out trenches and weapon emplacements, and massive turrets converted from the Corvette's point-defense grid lined the perimeter of the mountain base. The base itself was converted from the hull and interior of the Strident, and had been seamlessly integrated into the mountainside through what was presumably mining technology. Eventually, the convoy was led in front of a man, flanked by five guards armed with chemrails. "Alright gentlemen," he said, in what resembled an American accent, "let's get to business. I'm Lt. Major Frank Hudson, and I'm currently the only person certified for diplomacy who also speaks English." He seemed much more laid back then the previous soldiers that the convoy had seen, all of who seemed extremely reserved and professional.

A man stepped out of the second of the three jeeps, extending his hand towards the diplomat. "Lieutenant Colonel Marker," He introduced himself, looking at Frank underneath his blue visor. "Pleasure to meet you." He said, keeping his hand extended for a shake.
