Anomaly: Tatakai, 9321km from Surface A single Odyssey-class Cruiser left FTL, flanked by three Strident-class Heavy Corvettes. The ghost fleet was manned by a skeleton crew, who had the foresight to drop out of hyperspace just beyond sensor range. From here, the bridge of the Odessey would analyze the planet using antiquated cartographical data, and an array of long-range electron scopes to analyze the surrounding ships. The holographic images stuttered as they rendered a three-hundred year old Imperial database on the planet, taken decades before the Exalin expedition began. It showed basic information on the Dojo itself, though the information on its residents was hopelessly outdated.Initial scans indicated that the topography had changed little, which at least validated their ancient information. From that, they could begin to formulate a plan. The first step was obvious: reanimate Battlegroups Epsilon through Iota, and reprogram the revival machines on one of the Corvettes to store their genetic data. Next: the Odyssey would send out a hyperspace beacon, relaying to nearby groups of the Remnant fleet that they had found their destination. This would undoubtably attract the attention of the orbiting Star Destroyers, but this would serve a dual-purpose: the lone Corvette would be able to sneak past Imperial sensors using its refraction array, and hopefully reach planetside before it was detected. By then, any counterstrike would be futile. So it was settled. The lone Strident would transport its cargo to the surface while the remaining two Corvettes prepared to slingshot around the other side of the planet, avoiding contact as they slowly began to fortify the allied positions with ordinance, and perhaps mechanized reinforcements. The Odyssey would remain where it was to defend the beacon, and in an emergency situation, engage the Star Destroyers as reinforcements arrived. The small Corvettes stood little chance against the far larger Star Destroyers as it was, but should they reach planetside, the odds were in their favor.
Closed
Hours Later: The mission had been successful thus far. The lone Strident had been successful in delivering and reanimating the Remnant Legions, who were mobilizing rapidly. The other two were still en-route to Tatakai, and in danger of being intercepted by the Star Destroyers. So far, the Imperials had shown no sign of detecting the beacon either. It was then that Commander Hallwinter attempted to establish contact with the Dojo's defenders, using the ancient Empire's hail.
Open to all if you received the signal. Say that you read him or question his intentions. Open to Dio if you want some space drama.
• Garin's voice crackled into the captain's ear. "This is Garin Fohrik of the Dojo of Tatakai. Please state your name and intent." He sounded bored out of his mind, at least for now.

  • "JERRY GET THE -blam!-ING RADIO READY! JERRY?! God damn it kid..." JT sighed in his ship from the Dojoville hangar, or rather, his Nanocyte did. He had looked out of the small window in his room as he saw the Stringent approaching the Dojo, and that hail... It was familiar, though he hadn't a clue where it was from. He checked countless sources in his head through Google, Bing, Yahoo and whatever other sources were available to him, though the last place was where he would remember it. He checked his history data-logs and immediately the sigh of disappointment of a potential attacker became an instant laugh of happiness. What was the Empire doing here, he wondered? And that prompted him to go to the cockpit and send a transmission to Hallwinter. He wasn't the best with greetings, but he had hopes that it would be enough. Greetings, Imperial, and welcome back to the Dojo. It's probably been a long, long time for you since the last time you were here, since the Empire to us is considered an ancient force. That's actually why I'm sending this transmission to you - I am JT, somewhat a scholar and a procurer of historical information, and would so desperately like to arrange a meeting with you. If you would be so kind as to respond back, maybe we could meet up somewhere and trade information on the Empire for data on the modern Dojo? Just think on it for a bit. -Marshal JT.

  • One of the soldiers looked to Hallwinter with an eyebrow raised, suspicious of a trap. Hallwinter waved a hand at the man dismissively, and answered the comms,
We can arrange that. Meet me at these coordinates—
He sent JT the lat-long information,
in ten minutes. I’d rather discuss this in person.
• JT ran the coordinates through the Tatakai version of Google, since he had always been shitty with hat kind of thing. He entered the cockpit of his ship and flew to the meeting location, arriving after six minutes where he would wait the rest. "Nano, you're up." JT himself wasn't leaving his ship, rather he sent his cartographer. Nanocyte was brimming with excitement at the chance to get some usage and so he swarmed out of the ship's cargo bay, slipping brought tiny crevasses in the back until a black cloud filled the air. It came down to earth like a miasma as it shaped into a spiral, which started forming a head, then a body, and it worked its way down until it looked like JT - duster and all. Nano would wait patiently for Hallwinter while JT flew back to the Dojoville hangar.
...Let's see how an attempt at both works.
A response followed...from one of the Star Destroyers. "Ah...it seems that for once in my life, someone from beyond the galaxy is deciding to reinforce us. Quite surprised that you were able to do such." Was the responsive, seemingly feminine by the voice.

  • The reply was curt and emotionless, from a baritone male speaker.
I believe that you are mistaken. You are the aggravators in this conflict, and we have every intention to cease hostilities planet-wide. Surrender your Stormtroopers, let us come to a resolution.
• "Hm...where shall these congregations take place? I'd must say, automatically coming to peace is something that no Rebel had done. At least, directly to my face." She replies to the male, seemingly as the Star Destroyers stayed almost motionless above Tatakai.

  •
Well that is not surprising, since we are hardly rebels. A military junta is a far more preci-
The man was interrupted by something in the background, and moments later, a new voice spoke on the comms.
This channel will do for the congregation ma'am.
• "Good. Shall we meet a t some specific place, or should we just speak over this channel? I would like to see who exactly I'm talking to, and not just end up in a Rebel trap...even though you say you aren't rebels, does not mean I could see you as not rebels. Not physically, at least." She tells the new voice.

  • A brief transmission was sent, requesting a visual transmission between the two speakers.

  • A singular response was received, from an old source. It seemed almost as old as theirs, dating not long after the Exalin expedition. It identified itself as 'Klank', and then transmitted a code similar to their own access codes, if only newer.
"Who is this? Are you friendly? What do you want?"
Came the immediate queries. If their databases had access, they'd be able to sift through its combat record and note it had participated in the Axion operation as a member of the fireteam

  • The signal still held enough similarities to the old Remnant transmissions to be recognizable. A calm, baritone voice replied,
We are the 31st Imperial Remnant Fleet, and we are here to defend the denizens of the Dojo.
• ...Well, Hallwinter certainly identified someone that found the signal, in the mountain ranges of Tatakai to be exact. "...Oi. Wha's dis?" The grunting of a deep Сockney accent spoke up, the one speaking being a greenskin - an Ork Mekboy, tinkering about with his jangled mess of a communication system. In the background, a few other Orks 'n Boyz had taken to watching, though their boss was nowhere to be found.

  • The man on the comms looked to his superior officer, who cancelled the communique immediately. Though few of them had actually encountered an Ork before, the information previously gathered by the Genesis Python had been very clear: Orks were bad news. Currently, they didn't have the manpower to fight off a horde of Orks, so the best strategy was to scramble comms and track the origin of their signal.

  • The reaction of the scrambled comms was vicious, albeit the Orks could locate the signal that they had received, even as they would be tracked themselves. The signal originated from a secluded mountain, one of many mountains that coursed through the range. It was a considerable distance from the Dojo, albeit about the same distance away from the massacre at the small village. The safest course, if they would target the Orks with a surprise assault, would to clear the mountains entirely, if they could.

  • For now, the safest option was to fortify their firebase. They didn't have the manpower to contend with the Galactic Empire and the Orks until they had established some form of mechanical superiority planetside. They internalized the origin of the signal, and left the Orks to their own devices for the time being.

Hallwinter, whoever he was, received a response from the world. More specifically from the Ko Rudo mountain range. The response identified itself as the Frontier Militia, and Alliance, the two factions have various presences on world. "This planet, if you seek to conquer it, is protected under the Alliance and Frontier Militia. If you come here peacefully, you are more then welcome here." Was all the mysterious responder said, before falling silent and waiting.

  • The landed Corvette had already cut out a plot of the mountain range, where it was rapidly being reassembled into a firebase. Though the fortifications were still rudimentary, the ship's turrets had been connected to the old reactor, which was buried somewhere in the mountainside, and they swirled to meet the new force. There was a momentary lapse before another voice replied.
We are allies of the Dojo. We do not wish hostilities upon the resident factions, only upon the false Empires that lay siege to your village.
The voice was deep, with a slight indistinguishable accent.

  • At the base of the mountains, a complex of buildings were seen, some of those buildings were snaking up the mountain, but depending on where Hallwinter's base was, he would see that there was no threat to his own base. Just a few jeeps and troopers walking or driving around the complex, clearly not paying much attention to the newly forming base. "Very well, we will stay out of your way as best we can. If you are in need of supplies, or assistance do not hesitate to ask." The voice said, sounding a bit cooler then it had before.
