"Huh" he simply replied he turned his application into the machine followed by a automated "thank you! And good luck!" four hours later Twenty four to forty eight hours is what they were told her mysteriously the sun wasn't even out of the sky before they got an acceptance letter. No interview? It seemed someone was determined to get them in and got them approved in an incredibly short amount of time. They both got put onto the transport division and all training was to be bypassed. There was an addres within strata city to go to and an option for someone to pick them up if required. Was this the girl from before's doing or did someone from the company find a particular interest in the two?
Was going to do the plot in separate posts but I'm usually not near by computer
• "So, what do you think this is about?" He asked the older pirate Captain as they boarded a shuttle towards the city. "Maybe they're going to put us through some more advanced training? Or maybe they're just so worried about everything they're making sure they have all the weapons they need..." Hunter thought about it aloud, clearly curious.

 • "Not sure. The machine told me a day or two then I got a call a little after lunch. Did a lady with a flower for an eye talk to you too?" Flatline sat running the situation through his mind while he waited for whatever was supposed to pick them up.

 • "Yeah she did, gave me a few tips I guess you could call them." The man said, shrugging his shoulders.

 • "Huh, same. She didn't seem too fond of the company either." A limmosine that seemed to mix classic luxury with all the comidations of the modern world began rolling through the streets. The back window was rolled down and a older man in a suit and tie looked over at them and had his driver stop. There was a sense of charisma that seemed to flow from the man's presence as he walked over with a step so light he made concrete seem soft as clouds. "Hello gentelmen, I'm Antonio Degratze, security management and well, if I guessed from the pictures the vendor sent me, you are the two that I'll be welcoming to our department!" He said with a grin.

 • "Yes! It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." The man said respectfully, extending his hand for a shake.

 • "Good, good!" He shook both of their hands and gestured them I to the vehicle. "Now as your aware, this job is important and I'm guessing you might have questions so please, feel free to ask away"

 • "Yes, just a few actually." Hunter said, taking a seat in the limousine and getting himself a bit comfortable. "My first question is: 'Who is attending the auction.' Now, I only ask this to get a preliminary threat levels that might arise during the auction. Potential assassinations and such."

 • "For the most part world leaders and revolutionaries. There are a few high profile celebrities but not many. Usually it turns out pretty safe since we bulk up security staff around the time of the auctions but we've had the occasional protesters riot and assassination attempt to deal with every few years. Comes with the job you know" "Sounds like quite the show out there, what's the contingency if someone tried to jump us for the gear?" Helton sat back unfolding a pack of gum and popped it in his mouth. "Fair question. Personally I'd hope you could handle the confrontation without any need for lethal force, but if push comes to shove well send an evac vehicle to bring it back to the storage shed. "

 • "Storage shed? So we have a contingency plan? What is it, we teleport everything Away?" Hunter said with a chuckle, clearly joking.

 • "Ah, there's plenty of seats on the armored transport. Wouldn't want to leave you boys stuck in the middle of any trouble we can avoid." A cooler popped out of the floor with a few refreshments covered in ice. "They didn't give me permission to bring anything alcohaulic for reasons but if you like soda help yourselves" The man reached in a grabbed an orange drink and took a few sips before putting it in the cup holder on his side. "Besides, have a bit of a cruise before we get on back."

 • "How about the security? Besides us, how many other are we going to be in contact with?" Hunter asked, decking the drink.

 • "roughly fifty people if you include twenty or so snipers covering from the roof tops. It seems a bit much but it provides more comfort for the clients knowing a small army is carrying their precious cargo. "

 • "Of course, of course. 50 troops is a solid number I think. Gives a comfort level to the buyers, but also keeps thieves or assassins at bay." Hunter said, nodding his head in approval.

 • "You don't say" Flatline mumbled while he was looking out the window. It was quite the city. Buildings reaching the clouds, a gate sturdy as it was stunning. Strata was something else. At the gate, Antonio rolled down his window and flashed his ID to the man operating the door to the gate. A light turned green and a car sized hole in the wall formed. A toll booth right at the entrance of a city. It seemed almost typical to expect something like that from a town ruled by corporate kingpins and big business. "Two decades and a lot of manpower built this place. After you take a look around I'm pretty sure you would say it sure was worth it."

 • "You don't allow people into the city?" Hunter asked, a bit suprised at the revelation.

 • "Oh no, is not quite like that. There's a visitors fee for outsiders which helps fund maintenance and keep tabs on the additional people in the city." Not too far off, beyond the tinted windows a group of soldiers seemed to have been performing marching drills from across the street. "Well, at least you overshot the intimidation factor." The old pirate cracked.

 •
Wolfenstein esque soldiers? I can dig it.
Hunter, as he was calling himself, chuckled lightly at the Pirate's comment, before turning his attention back to the man in charge. "Anything we should know?"

 • "Not too much. We have living quarters on campus, placement test will be tomorrow and in about a week we prep for transport. But really, don't worry too much about it. It's not like were going to have another AM-4 incident any time soon" Antonio seemed confident enough, though something about the so called "incident" he mentioned seemed to lessen the brightness behind his grin. The limmosine stopped in front of a large multi story complex looking like a national guard tower on steroids. A few off duty soldiers could be seen roaming about in a T-shirt and cargo pants. Seemed today was fairly easy going without too many disputes to concern them.

 • "Honestly, how are there only 50 guys." Hunter said with a laugh, noticing the soldiers walking around the area.

 • "Ah thats only the security department you guys will be working in. The police section has a lot more but aren't as heavily equip since they should just be going to civil disputes. They had to borrow some gear maybe once or twice but usually a ballistic best and a nine millimeter handgun is enough to keep em safe." A soldier took at look over the car and recognized it. A green light turned on and the gate opened, letting them in. "I Know know your profiles say No training required but we do have a virtual simulation room in case you need to sharpen up on your duties."

 • "Only durring scheduled exercises. Other than that, we like to let our employees use it freely without us intervening unless we need to." The driver parked the car in a lot off to the side of the base with a door in sight to the facility. Antonio produced a pair of cards and badges. "These are for your room and these are for ID. Welcome to the show folks, if your excuse me there's two others I'm supposed to be picking up. Oh the room numbers are on the cards." Room 47 and room 48 and two more to come.

 • Considering he had the room next door, Flatline followed along. He looked around at the cameras scattered around the facility halls. The place almost looked like a scaled down fortress on the inside with walls made of concrete and metal plated doors. "Man, almost looks like a prison. Well, at least we have the keys to our door. Hope the rooms are a bit more comfortable"

 •
Lmao I used that exact same image for the hallway of a space ship xD
"Yeah, hopefully. Or maybe it's all a trap. They're secretly giving us these keys to lock ourselves in a room, prisoners to them." Hunter said, shrugging his shoulders.
