I relate to this entirely. Once in a while, I'm hyped to do a raid and I'll plan ahead with my clan, but most of the time, I know I can't be on more than an hour, so I don't bother wasting their time or mine figuring out what to do. I just get on and do whatever is next for my character. Sometimes my clan mates turn up and fight along side me for a while and then wave good-bye, and that's fine. But most of the time I'm just enjoying an hour of downtime I've unexpectedly found that evening.

  • It takes you an hour to set stuff up? Geez I must have it good. My squad decides on what we want to do immediately, but clearly not everyone has that luxury.

  • If you join your clan and one is ready to do the nightfall but he's waiting on the other guy whose in the crucible trying to get all of his bounties and the other guys are all in the middle of king's fall, you can end up wasting a good portion of your hour waiting to start the nightfall, only to bow out when you have to go do other things. I enjoy destiny, but I don't let it get in the way of my life.

  • This so much. Getting people to actually show up is a nightmare. I'm not trying to parent after a long work day to get them online.
