But it a Multiplayer game based around playing as a team, why would they encourage solo play?

Because despite that true fact most people play solo most of the time. It would just make the game more appealing that it already is. Just my opinion. This post I replied to is trending for good reason.

No, sorry not every game has to be made for every person. You can already get pretty far in the game solo without needed to ever talk to another person so why would they add bonuses for playing solo?

In all the games I've played the greatest feeling you can get is in solo accomplishment. For now I get that elsewhere. Just wish destiny could give me that. Wanting that in destiny is not irrational. I will still play though. This is a great game that was once my only game until I hit the solo ceiling that always comes too soon. Which actually is a whole other argument in itself. I am just getting started. Maybe it'll take me longer than d1 to work through. Clearly I'm not alone in my thinking.
