Reincarnations Ch. 4.5

In honor of all the victims of 9/11, I have created this mini-story to go with Re-incarnations. A bit after we took off, I realized that it was 9/11. "Axon? We need to go to the remnants of New York," I said. Axon looked at me and said, "Why?" I stayed silent for a moment and said, "It's 9/11. The day the Twin Towers fell. It was a time before the Golden Age, and even if now America is in shambles, I will still pay my respects to those who fell for our nation that day." I shifted our direction to New York. ABOUT FOUR HOURS LATER New York came into sight eventually. It was evening and the sun was going to set soon. I landed where the wall with the names of the 9/11 victims were. We got out and I took both my pistol and wire rifle just to be safe. Since there was no paint I could use anymore, I found some cherries and blueberries, got a lone sheet of paper and a stick, painted an American flag on the paper with the berries, and taped it to the stick. I put the makeshift flag in the rubble of the buildings and saluted. Axon saluted as well, and we had a moment of silence. I said, "Even after all these years, there are still two people who honors the victims of 9/11. And that would be me and you, Axon. Many people died on this day, and they will not be forgotten, as we will always remember those who sacrificed themselves for America." We had another moment of silence, and then we went back to the ship, and flew towards South America in silence. To all victims, survivors, and families of the victims of 9/11: My heart and the hearts of DFP go out to you, and we hope that in your sorrow, you can find hope for the future.

 • I would like to add, for those of you who lost loved ones, that incident has saved the lives of many others. It may be hard to get past the pain and we who didn't go through it don't understand, but your loved ones are a hero to future generations. Thank you - A member of DFP (editor in a way)
