"Some friends?" He let out a light chuckle, but there was nothing funny. It was a laugh filled with sadness. "They all died, my family's all I got left and I'm not involving them."

"Oh? Well they don't necessarily have to be ALIVE. Well, completely that is!" "Okay nope! No way! No way in hell am I waiting any more!" Suddenly said a familiar voice that came from the darkness.

Then, out from the dark, the figure stood. Tall, healthy and able, along with his usual smug grin, he chuckled as Zane called him out. "In the fle-err...no...not in the flesh. More like, in the trippy limbo shit you were talking about. Yup. That sounds about more like it." Alex told him.

"Wait, why aren't you in the afterlife? And where's Anne?"

"Remember the whole "getting soul stolen" Cyrus here was talking about? Yup. That's what happened to me." He told Zane. "And Anne? Well..." he grinned. "Let's just say, I won the race." Alex said rather cryptically.

"God damn it Alex..." He let out a chuckle, this one filled with a bit of joy from seeing his friend. "So will she be joining us?"

As the shorter, fair blue skinned woman ran out of the dark and rested her hands on Alex's shoulders as she let out a breath. "Why...did you....run...so...fast...?!" She asked him. Then, she noticed Zane, and her amber eyes lit up. "ZANE!"

"Anne....I'm so sorry I couldn't save you...."

"Zane..." She said as she regained her breath. "There's nothing to forgive. The decisions I made led me here, and that's just how it goes! Plus if I recall, there was an army between you and me. So I would have to be a new level of drama queen to be mad at you for not making it in time...." "Well...you are a bit of a diva still...." Alex said through his tongue and cheek. Anne opened her mouth in offence. "Excuse me?!" "Hm? Wut? I didn't say nothing!"

He walked over and pulled his friends into a fight hug. "I really missed you guys...."

[i]"Hey! What about me?!"[/i] said a child like voice suddenly as Anne and Deity chuckled at Zane's embrace. As Zane turned, he saw none other than skull kid. He let out his little laugh as he stood in the section of light.

He walked over and opened his arms to skull kid. "But at least they set your soul free, your at peace now."

The younger brother brushed his shaggy hair back as he entered another ray of light. "Ya, bet you didn't expect me to show up here, right?"

"Na not really, pretty sure you did enough in your life to warrant staying out of hell." He outstretched his hand, offering it to his brother.

Akira went wide eyed for a moment, before he clasped Zane's hand in return. "Thanks for having faith in me, in the end that is. It's more then what I would've given you at the time, but you have my respect now. Zane."

He pulled his brother in for a hug, tightening his grasp around him. "You've always had my respect brother, I'm glad to have you at my side."

"Thanks...Zane." Akira said a little awkwardly as his older brother hugged him. "But there's someone else here as well..." "Despite our inevitable tango, I was hoping to see you again before it was all over." Suddenly said a voice. It sounded familiar, but Zane couldn't exactly pinpoint it. Then, into the light, a slender pale faced woman with long black curly hair and brown eyes looked at Zane. Now, he knew that this woman was none other then his eldest sister, Setsuna. "Uh...sorry...about that...again" Alex apologized to her as he rubbed the back of his head. "But you did trap us in a street against an entire child army that would have rather seen teen dramas and porn rather then kill people..." "No...no I had that coming for a while now. Fate, as it always is, was not with me on that day." She said solemnly as she looked at Zane.

"My position, Zane. I had to be ruthless in order for the clan to survive. No doubt you would have experienced a similar transition and I bet after the stresses you have gone through over the last months, you had nearly given up on being the hero of tour own story." She explained. "Do I regret it? Yes, I do. But my duty to the clan came first Zane, and did what I had to do for it. Not myself. But now, the clan has disbanded, an a hundred children trained to kill are out in the world, and will attempt to forge their own path without any guidance. It was a lose-lose scenario for the sick cult we were born into."
