Zane opened his eyes, and found himself lying on the ground of some grassy surface. The grass was long and brushed against his face. He felt a soft wind flow over his nose, but it carried a cold air that made him shiver. The grass however was very green, and as he looked around, he saw that he was laying underneath a massive tree. It's branches massive and it seemed to be budding into bloom. Leaves stuck to the branches strongly, and were unmoving despite the wind.
As relaxing as this was however, the sudden thought came to Zane's mind. Where was he...?

"Thanks...Zane." Akira said a little awkwardly as his older brother hugged him. "But there's someone else here as well..." "Despite our inevitable tango, I was hoping to see you again before it was all over." Suddenly said a voice. It sounded familiar, but Zane couldn't exactly pinpoint it. Then, into the light, a slender pale faced woman with long black curly hair and brown eyes looked at Zane. Now, he knew that this woman was none other then his eldest sister, Setsuna. "Uh...sorry...about that...again" Alex apologized to her as he rubbed the back of his head. "But you did trap us in a street against an entire child army that would have rather seen teen dramas and porn rather then kill people..." "No...no I had that coming for a while now. Fate, as it always is, was not with me on that day." She said solemnly as she looked at Zane.

"Sets....what the hell happened to you? What caused you to become so cruel?"

"My position, Zane. I had to be ruthless in order for the clan to survive. No doubt you would have experienced a similar transition and I bet after the stresses you have gone through over the last months, you had nearly given up on being the hero of tour own story." She explained. "Do I regret it? Yes, I do. But my duty to the clan came first Zane, and did what I had to do for it. Not myself. But now, the clan has disbanded, an a hundred children trained to kill are out in the world, and will attempt to forge their own path without any guidance. It was a lose-lose scenario for the sick cult we were born into."

He let out a sigh as he walked over to his older sister. "As much as I hate to admit it, this is true. Most of them won't live into there 30's. If there is a way to undo this curse, I will find out.@

Setsuna smirked. "Determined...heh. You haven't changed at all little brother." She told him. Funnily enough, she was still taller then him even now. She put her arms around his neck and hugged him, and he felt the dampening of his shoulder as he could hear the tears sliding down her cheeks. "I-I'm so happy that I can see you again...even if it's only one last time before we reach the inevitable..."

He wrapped his arms around setsuna, tightening his grip as he fought back tears of his own. "One day sis....one day we'll be together again. You, me and aki, together forever."

"Ya...but ideally...that won't be for a long time yet." "And hopefully there will be room for one more?" Then said a now familiar voice. And as Zane turned again, he saw the short raven haired woman who had given his life for his quest. Xion. "Just uh, maybe take a break on the hugs, Zane. I think you're tiring yourself out or something."

He nearly fell to the floor when he saw her, for her death had hit him the hardest. "Xion...."

"Oh come on Zane...you're being so dramatic." She said chokingly as her own eyes began to tear up. "I-its not like you haven't seen weirder things before after all."

He ran over and wrapped her in a tight hug, tears flowing from his eyes as he finally broke down. "Xion, I've missed you so much..."

"Ya...I'd say the same but it feels like hardly any time has gone by since...well...You know." She told him as she put her arms around Zane as well.

"I got him....I killed Vexen and made him suffer for your murder. I made sure it hurt as well....." He buried his head into Xion's shoulder, his sadness overwhelming him.

"Okay...come on now Zane. You're making us both look like fools here..." she told him jokingly as she too sobbed. "After all, I think there's one more person you have to meet before the cryptic guy starts his explanation."

He looked up and gave Xion a questioning look. "You can't mean...."

ITS ONLY BEEN TEN MINUTES AND I'M BEING ROPED INTO SOMETHING AFTER I DIE?! CAN'T A GUY CATCH A BREAK?! IM ON LIFE NUMBER FREAKING FIVE!" "I don't think this counts as an extra life dad..." Anne commented. "Am I speaking? Check. Am I breathing?! Sort of! It's hazy! ALL I KNOW IS, THINGS ARE STILL COMPLICATED! SO LIFE NUMBER FIVE!" "I'll settle at four and a half." Cyrus commented. "You have a lot of explaining to do young man!" Falk then let out as he pointed his finger at Cyrus.

He raised his eyebrow in confusion. "Aaaand what did you lie about?"

"I...am not a time wraith. That was a guise, really." The figure told him. "In reality, I am the development of events beyond a person's control. The supernatural power behind it all. This may sound familiar to you, as it was something the late grandmaster of the nightingales told you." "Wait...you can't be saying..." Setsuna started. "I am, Setsuna. I am not a wraith. I, am Fate Incarnate."

Plus, you seemed to be enjoying yourselves in your private paradises, I didn't wish to throw more onto your plates." "What? Private paradises? I was just put into a room! With cat posters and inspirational quotes!" Falk declared. "What? How is that not paradise?" Anne asked her father. He chuckled in response. Fate however maintained its attention on Zane. "So, now that you know Zane. You know also, that I am the source of your power. As the grandmaster told you when you were just a boy."
