[i]As it's shields were fried, nothing would stop the bolt from frying the robot with a sudden volt, it's body shutting down. The electricity would course through it's chain and flail, and suddenly through Cody, the shock electrocuting him (albeit, possibly at a lessened voltage).[/i]
