"No! No. We're not a thing." I answered...probably a bit too defensively. "And no. I don't remember someone that fits that extremely vague description that probably fits a few dozen people in the area."

T: "Damn. Where in the seven hells is she?" [b][i]He said, before a voice was heard behind him, distinctly female as Jess walked through the door. She wore her usual apparel of a burgundy too revealing her midriff, black cargo pants and leather boots, and black biker gloves. In the wrong light someone might mistake her for a man, her features being more masculine. A tattoo ran all across her right arm and on the sides of her midriff.[/i][/b] J: "Damn this place is big, and I'll tell you we definitely aren't the strange ones here Tal." T: "Yeah well since when have we been?"

"So, uhh....Hello, random girl I don't know." I waved at Jess a little with a shrug before turning back to Tal. "Should I leave you two alone? I could leave if you want."

T: "I was just gonna help her with some swordsmanship. Feel free to stay and enjoy the show if you'd like. Really couldn't care less." [b][i]Tal said, quite honest about that[/i][/b] J: "Who knows, maybe he can actually give me a challenge." [b][i]Jess retorted[/i][/b]

"I'm not a superhuman, so I doubt that. I do however have a lot of experience with real fighting with a sword. It's not the flashy kind of sh*t though. It's not fencing either where you can only use the blade and not the rest of your body." I had confidence in my ability to fight with swords since I've been practicing real fighting since a rather young age. People seem to forget to use their whole body when fighting with weapons. It's kinda sad.

T: "Good, seems we're all in the same boat then. Neither of us are super human, I mean I'm what your races would consider an elf, but otherwise I'm the same as you." J: "And we don't do that fancy bullshit. Stabs, jabs, kicks, pommel strikes. You use anything you can in a swordfight."

"Alright, I guess there's no reason not to. I'm not very fit, but I should have enough endurance for a small sparring match." I was thinking of the possibility they were here to kill me or scout me or something. I decided it was best to fight casually. If it turned into life or death I needed the energy.

J: "Good, someone who's ACTUALLY gonna be a challenge." [b][i]She says jokingly looking st Tal.[/i][/b] T: "Yeah. Cause me winning out last 5 matches doesn't say I'm a challenge."

"I doubt I'll be much of a challenge, but thank you." I walked back towards the center of the room, picking up a simple broad sword out of a bin of weapons on the way.

[b][i]She took out the escirma in her hip, spinning it with one hand. As she did, the weapon changed in the blink of an eye, now a four foot long two handed blade[/i][/b] J: "This is gonna be fun."

I sighed, I really wished I had cool stuff like that. Instead I'm just some completely normal...somewhat normal kid in a world full of magical people that break the laws of physics almost constantly. "Or a slaughter." I joked back with a friendly smile. Gotta play nice or risk having a super soldier being out to kill you just because you looked at them.

[spoiler]jess is actually a normal human so you know. She's just got an elvish weapon, so it transforms like that[/spoiler] J: "Don't worry, it's just training. I'll make sure you have all your limbs after this." [i][b]She said, grabbing the handle with bith hands as she took a stance [/b][/i]

"That sounds reassuring. Thanks." I got into my own stance with my blade out in front of me. I began to circle Jess slowly, trying to get a feel for her movements.

I took a very quick step back, dodging and being a punching bag has always been my strong suite. Sadly, I wasn't ever all that great at hitting or telling an actual attack from a fake one.

I parried the sword upward as hard as I could right before kicking at her hip with my leg, attempting to knock her off balance.
